Konak — Local services in Rotterdam

My brother and I are visiting the Netherlands for a few weeks, and we recently spent this past week in Rotterdam.

We had an Airbnb on Ungerplein near the Rotterdam Centraal train station, and we wanted a quick and affordable takeaway meal near us.

After searching on Google maps, I located Konak, which is right across the street from Rotterdam Centraal.

Konak offers traditional doner and kebab as well as pizza, and was busy for takeaway service for dinner on a Monday evening.

We ordered the doner broodje, the kebab broodje and a large fries with mayonnaise.

I liked the doner broodje the best, which comes with fresh vegetables and a mixture of sauces that tastes divine. The sandwich, which costs 5 euros, is massive and will definitely fill you up.

Konak is an excellent option for affordable food to go near...

I ate a kebab here. The kebab was overall nice enough. The let down for me was that the bread was burnt to the point of a hole in one part and that unlike other kebab places where you choose your salad/ cheese after the order, this place requires you to order cheese before the kebab is at all prepared. Cheese cannot then be put on the kebab afterwards even if extra money is paid (which I don’t really understand). The place is good enough, but not worth the 4.2 star rating it...

I only ordered Doner kebab and doner chicken. The service is very fast. The donner kebab is not tasty at all. The chicken is not bad at all but not that super. What matters for me is the workers.
