Light force solar has been a nightmare to deal with purchase was a 9kw with 16.8kwh storage at a cost of 33k 1) upon set up of systems it stopped working 1 hour after they had left. Had small children we had to stay at families until it was fixed. Then realized out freezer had thawed out it was fixed following day late evening. 2) they messed up the size of my roof and could only fir 80% of the panels quoted. Leaving me with a smaller system than and quoted. 3) it took 6 months after the installation to get the batteries running properly 4) the technician from light force locked me out of my system and threatened to turn it off because I hadn't payed. Due to the 6 month wait for the batteries. Found out they stopped supplying givenergy hardware a month after I deposited to purchase the system with no warning of the change coming soon. Appears that I received old stock for my package. 5) one of my batteries will not charge above 30% which iv brought up to them 2 weeks ago with nothing but a automated email reply, after the second phone call reporting the the problem . Personally Light force solar have been completely unapproachable and reluctant to help in any way. If I could I'd 100% use someone else to install my solar package. Perhaps this review will prompt a response as this is what it's come too. Further to owners comments, the system cut my power off and the battery was flashing red, there was no calibration running the system plain and simply stopped working and had to wait 24hrs with no power. I was told by their technician I could set when my battery discharge times so I did. I changed my wifi password as another light force technician stated he would turn my system off due to me changing the batterydischarge times he had already locked me out of the monitoring system so was a high probability light force would stop my system from working, there was no issues with been monitored with monitoring the system until I was threatened it was going be shut down remotely. Seems to be alot of blaming going on due to light force lack of due diligence. Regardless the system is still not storing power in one battery. With no remedy proposed from light force. They calibrate it seems and it works and gradually decreases storage percentage until it reaches zero. No communication still to date with the current issue! Iv even proposed to upgrade the storage system as I'm wishing for more storage capacity and I'm happy to pay for Lightforce services for the upgrade less the current faulty battery price.

Great help from Jake, sales team and we shared electric bills and pictures of the house and after that there was a zoom meeting where all details was on display. Easy and great as we could se options of the package we could choose. The installation team out of Hamilton was truly great, polite and did their outmost to suit our needs and wishes. I now got the wires inside the wall and ity looks great! As we went with the battery pack, we have power when we are home in the evening, sure it is pretty expensive but in the long run it pays off. Must say we love the Energizer app that shows the usage and you can see directly when the dryer or oven is on, sure makes you aware of how much some appliances use and we save more by using them if possibly at daytime when it is free from the sun. A normal day in Bay of Plenty we have the battery fully charged around 11.00-12.00. This is summertime and as we head off to winter we hope that the sun and battery is enough to heat our house during evening and night. Anyway we will save heaps and get paid for the energy we load into the grid. Not so much but it helps. If you think of getting a EV you will save even more as you can use the excess power to charge instead of sending it to the grid. Did not want to do a review before using the system for some time and after about 5 months use we had little to none issues. I was concerned that the panels on the roof would stick out and look bad but they are now pretty thin and we got ours in black with no ugly pattern. We don't notice them anymore. Regards Anders

There were some delays that took place due to the Covid lockdown in August, but Mitch responded to our calls and continued to follow-up with external companies involved in the process of switching to solar. Big mihi to Lionel too for his support and availability. The Hamilton installation team were awesome!! Graeme, Alvin and Ollie, thanks for your professionalism, your attention to detail, quality of work and informative instructions. As a team you overcame the barriers thrown at you with a scheduled power outage, heavy rain, and all four seasons in one day. We hope you enjoyed our hospitality and entertainment, with a final mihi - the waiata "Purea nei" which supports the notion of the being blown by the wind, washed by rain and shone upon by the sun. We look forward to enjoying the benefits of Solar. Let the sunshine in!!

Late January 2025, we had solar installed by Lightforce Kerikeri which was switched on 01 February. We were away at time of switching on, and were told we would be shown in person, how everything worked an be assisted in downloading the App on our return. When we returned from holiday we were informed the person we had been liasing with in Kerikeri no longer worked for Lightforce. I contacted Lightforce to ask for assistance in person. I am in the senior age bracket and have little knowledge how technical things work. I was informed someone would contact us by the end of day, but no, three days later still no contact. We visited Kerikeri Lightforce 3 times in 3 days and there was never anyone there. I emailed again and no response. We then decided in our frustration, to contact an ex staff member from Lightforce to ask for assistance which he gratefully obliged. He went through how the system worked and helped us download the App. We are in the Far North and were about to be hit with Cyclone Tam, and our area is prone to power cuts. He showed us how to boost the system for 48 hours so we wouldn't run out of power which is very important as husband has a CPAP machine while sleeping. We are so grateful for his assistance (which Lightforce didn't provide). Our power was off for three days and had torrential rain, and when our battery expired we discovered we had no lighting in the living area and absolutely nothing in the kitchen worked, which is pretty important, and one of the reasons we chose solar. I immediately emailed Lightforce requesting someone to call us. Two more emails and a phone call from us we finally got a response. They sent the electrician who installed our solar and discovered at time of installation the living area and kitchen had not been connected to the system at all. What incompetent service from this electrician when we paid over $30,000.00 for the system. When we signed up for Solar with Lightforce Kerikeri, we received very professional service. Due to the person we we worked with no longer works for you, your service has declined dramatically. Lightforce Kerikeri, you need to lift your game as your after sales service is non-existent. We were going to add more panels and battery power, but because of the lack of service and incompetence we have received we will not be purchasing these from Lightforce and will not recommend your business to family...

I have a large system installed by light force, 31 panels and 15kw of battery storage My extreme frustration is if you have a problem, when you phone them all you get is a message service, with no call back. This has been going on since the system was installed over 2 years ago I could and would not recommend this company, having spent close to $50,000 the follow up service is extremally disappointing. They are keen to take your money but don't understand follow up service, I am still waiting a call back. They have since contacted me , They say they have to attend on site , they have yet to advise when . 29/11/24 just been advised an electrician is booked to come on Tuesday 3/12/24 to replace the Energiser subunit. I will let you know the outcome well people , the electrician came on the 3/12/24 spent about 1 hour on the phone to Energizer battery company in Australia , were unable to resolve the issue , Energizer were to try some software fix over night and Light force were to report back to me. its now the 6/12/24 and nothing heard its now almost 1 month since the system failed , its costing me a lot of money as we have to import from the Grid At this stage i could not recommend Light force or Energizer , the follow up service is almost nil. i will keep you posted here is the update! once i was able to deal with their customer service manager "Jen" we were able to get some progress. Light force have replaced the Energizer Battery's and good we inverter with a Sun grow system. The lads on the installation team did a great job, the new set up is now up and running . Offen it is not what happens but how it is dealt with . Light Force Solar has demonstrated the correct method to resolve an issue , At this point in time i could not be happier, need less to say I would strongly recommend Light Force as they have the scale and resource to provide back up when required "all is well that ends...
