i recommend the CPM chilli pepper mayo flavour. it’s a good amount of flavour for you to still be able to enjoy the chicken taste.

unfortunately, i didn’t enjoy the mad chicken flavour - it was a bit too salty and the taste was over powering. i also didn’t like the honey soy flavour (from the northcote store) because it just tasted bitter and too garlicky.

they always give you a few fries with each box of chicken which they gave us in a separate box as well as a little container of their korean pickles (only get this if you like radish) for free which was very kind.

price is honestly a bit steep (1 box = $20) as is everything, so this is a bit more of a treat feed.

both mad for chicken stores have very lovely owners/staff who are very friendly and welcoming which is great.

I work in sunnynook and have struggled to find somewhere nice to eat in my lunch breaks and finally came across mad chicken!!! I’m addicted 😋😋The place is so inviting ,with light music and a tv to watch while you wait.It is super clean and set up so accommodating.The staff at max chicken are so lovely ,well mannered and very professional 🤩The chicken is the best in sunnynook and actually the best I have tasted in auckland !! Korean chicken takeaways in the heart of Sunnynook shopping centre. The chicken is just O.K 🤷‍♂️.. The cheesy balls are also quite good. I thought the chicken tasted dry and the sauce was definitely missing the chilli and punchy flavours,it reminded me of a bottle sauce with no spice.
