I visited Hansan with my family last night. We were seated promptly. The staff were very attentive and made sure we didn't have to wait long to place our orders and the food arrived ten minutes after ordering so very ideal if you are absolutely starving. The mains did however, come before the appetizers.
For appetizers we got the pan fried chicken dumplings and the prawn and pork summer rolls. The dumplings were really nice especially with their chili oil that added a nice kick. The rolls however, were underwhelming as it mainly consisted of noodles.
All the mains we ordered were very generous in size. I got the curry chicken egg noodle soup, a hearty and comforting dish. I had a sore throat when I went in and having this soup cleared it out for the next couple of hours. My parents ordered the combination seafood and pork egg noodle soup which unfortunately didn't meet their expectations. The dish didn't have much pork and they didn't find any seafood. Instead there was heaps of tofu. The pho on the other hand, was the best according to my brother who tried every...
Read moreHorrible experience. Lynnmall Hansan 100x better. I asked for fried rice dish with NO prawns being allergic to it, I reminded them TWICE that there can't be any prawns in it but the dish came with all prawns. I asked them for another dish WITHOUT prawns but took 30mins for them to bring it out. This time it came without chicken wings. So had to send it back. All our 8 orders were recorded wrong but the waiter insisted we "just eat it anyway because it's already made" I said no way we want what we ordered so had to be returned and each came at different times.By the time everyone ate I and one other still hadn't received our orders so I cancelled it all and left the place having had no dinner. Asked for a partial refund waiter looked confused manager was slightly somewhat understanding. I will never go back to Wairau Hansan. Really bad service and quality of food was poor. Portions are significantly smaller than Hansan Lynnmall....
Read moreI have never bother writing any reviews for any restaurant. But with this one, I felt I had to write something. Went there once and will not go there again. I don’t think it is Vietnamese restaurant but rather a Chinese owned and operated one. We ordered a prawn salad for $14.7, unlike the photo on the menu, there was literally 4 small shrimps on top of a big pile of cabbage. We couldn’t believe our eyes.
We also ordered a curry chicken noodle dish, it was way too salty and was nothing like we used to have from other restaurants.
In terms of their service, there was none. What I don’t understand was such a larger restaurant space, with only 2-3 tables of customers, yet, 6 waiters and waitresses standing at a corner and all looking...
