Little Goodies Cafe — Restaurant in Devonport-Takapuna

Coffee was shockingly terrible - overly acidic to the point of being extremely sour. I had to add sugar, otherwise it wasn’t drinkable.

I had the Hong Kong Boy and my partner had the Hokkien noodles.

The 2 stars is for the Hokkien noodles - wasn’t terrible but wasn’t great either.

The Hong Kong Boy was swimming in fried Panko crumbs which made the whole dish taste overly greasy. The prawns were also very salty and I accidentally ate the entirety of one of the 4 chillis mixed into the crumbs and experienced the worst spicy sensation in my mouth which completely ruined my appetite.

Second visit and had the bacon & egg pie and coconut custard, pie tasted like it was made 3+days ago and custard was bland. $11 for the pie and $6+ for slice, very expensive for poor quality food that is tasteless. Nice place and staff but due to the food not returning anytime soon!

(Previous review 3 star rating) Staff were pleasant and we got our order reasonably quick. The scone was on the heavy side but good size. The mufffin was huge! Our coffees were nice. There was an unpleasant fishy smell when we entered and wasn't sure if something was burnt...

the mocha was really good! the hokkien noodles with chicken was good, but not super special as the noodles were white plain and lacking any special flavour. the big goodies breakfast was not good. the slab bacon was quite gross and not quite what was expected. the sausages are definitely not cheap, but the taste is not for the regular person. the potato rosti was really nice and crispy. the tomato was too wet and thick. perhaps just wasn’t our cup of tea but wouldn’t get again. overall, little goodies cafe was really nice and the owner/waitress was...
