Marina Terrace — Local services in South Island

We recently stayed for a couple of nights at Marina Terrace Apartments in Wanaka with family. What can I say "Wow" The apartment was immaculate, clean, well layed out and had everything we needed to be super comfortable, the kitchen was well appointed so cooking was made easy for the entire family. It was obvious the attention to detail with the cleaning and that makes a big difference. My dad, who has limited mobility, was well catered for with generous sized bathrooms and wide hallways the walker. We immensely enjoyed the views both inside and out and sat on the covered terrace with the outside fire going to add to the charm. Centrally located made walking to town so easy. The garaging was great, with space for car, bikes, skis everything. We also want to say a huge thank you to the team, from booking and arrival to departure, Karen, Helen and the team took very good care of us. They are to be complimented on their customer service and kindness. An easy recommendation if staying in Wanaka, luxury at its finest. ...

if you want to sit outside then don’t go for a studio apartment. But the cost to have this option is an extra $250 NZ per night. So unless there are more than 2 of you it’s not worth it. However Wānaka is fabulous place and if the weather is good ( as we had) then there are loads of option to sit outside and enjoy the sun. ||We arrived and had booked a studio apartment ( that was all that was available) Thought we would miss outside seating but no. Studio was outstanding. Fabulous views of the lake from inside. It’s near the road, but unless you want to sleep in to 12 noon the traffic noise won’t bother you. Would highly recommend staying here. Worth noting tho- we didn’t get the room serviced for a 2 night stay, but extra towels etc were...

I want to say really nice things about this apartment complex, but I’m struggling. The excellent thing is the location is superb, the apartment, 3 bed, is lovely and the pool and spa complex fabulous, now for the negatives, the heated towel rail turns off so you get out of the shower to a cold towel. The water to every tap takes 5 minutes to get to lukewarm, and if someone turns a tap on in another room your shower is cold. The toilet paper is nasty 1 ply. They supply cake soap with no dish to put it in. There’s no hand towel holders. There’s no full length mirror, and the towels are pretty average. They say you get a bbq, but there wasn’t one.
