Lakeside Apartments — Hotel in South Island

Our family of four stayed at Lakeside Apartments in September 2024, and from the moment we arrived, this place far exceeded our expectations. The views were nothing short of stunning, setting the tone for a relaxing getaway. The apartment itself was incredibly spacious and well-appointed, with every detail thoughtfully considered—from the comfortable beds and pillows to the daily servicing that kept everything pristine.

A highlight for us was meeting Warren, the charming resident cat, who became an instant hit with the kids. Our evenings were spent unwinding in the spa under the stars, a perfect end to each day. The staff were wonderful, making us feel welcome from start to finish. We honestly can't wait to return!

We had a fabulous 3-night stay at Lakeside Apartments! The location was perfect - great view of Lake Wanaka and so convenient to walk to shops, dining, and Lake Wanaka activities. Our fantastic apartment was like home away from home; very spacious, full kitchen, comfortable dining and living rooms, and super deck with a lovely view of the pool and activities on Lake Wanaka. I enjoyed an excellent lap swim in the large pool. We even got all our laundry done to last us the final week of our New Zealand trip. We relaxed one evening watching a Netflix movie. Couldn’t be more happier with our choice of The Lakeside Apartment at Wanaka. Beautifully positioned overlooking Wānaka Lake. Our room had a heated pool and lake view with direct access from the room to the pool. Apartment was immaculately cleaned with fully equipped kitchen and coffee machine. Toiletries provided are of good quality. Although property doesn’t offer breakfast, this was not at all inconvenient, as just at a small 2min walks there are so many options of restaurants, cafes and Marino wool shops.
