It was like traveling back in time, I'm glad my father wanted to do this because we wouldn't have thought of going if we were in Queenstown without him, and we would've missed out. The views all around are phenomenal and there's a lady who plays the piano and sings gentle tunes while on board. She's also very sweet and friendly. You can walk around the boat and go outside or downstairs, and there's a little Cafe-bar that serves drinks (mulled wine/ local beers/ tea/coffee) and snacks (pastries, muffins, croissant/toasted sandwiches etc). All the staff were super friendly. We didn’t do the BBQ buffet at the homestead this time because we ate at the wharf in town, but next time we'd like to try it. Read moreTraveling on a steamboat is something not many people get a chance to do, so glad I had the opportunity to do it on this trip. The boat itself had so much history on its architectural structure. The views of the lake while you walking around the boat are phenomenal, with views of the steam engines below decks. Also Cafe-bar upstairs that serves licensed drinks and snacks. The staff were friendly and helpful catering the passengers needs. Recommended you do the freshly cooked BBQ buffet at the homestead. The homestead itself is something to be admired with its manicured lawn, garden and surrounding areas of the property. There is no better way to do Queenstown than the views of the lake and mountains on the TSS Earnslaw steam boat. MUST DO when visiting...

Although we had planned our day and waited for more than an hour for it, we asked if we could leave (because there wasn’t any seats left). They said you can get off the boat but you won’t get your money back. We asked what kind of nonsense is that and the cruise is overbooked and what are we supposed to do? and they said “Just wonder around!” for 90 minuets!! They weren’t apologetic or cooperative in anyway. We were very kind not to make a fuss about it and just ask to leave (although they had waisted more than an hour of our time) but they where...
