We had an absolute blast doing these escape rooms in Queenstown! Actually, we had so much fun we went back three times to do every single room 😂 The puzzles were clever and each room’s story had fun Queenstown-themed touches that made it feel special.

But honestly, what really made the whole experience next-level was the staff. Merel was the best escape room guide —she made us feel super comfortable in the room and gave great hints when we were stuck in a bad way without ever spoiling the fun. And Florian, who helped us book the room and introduce us to putt putt (the add on experience), was so great too. Everyone from the moment we walked in were so welcoming and genuinely excited for us to have a good time. We even walked out with amazing disc golf recommendations!

Would 100% recommend Escape Quest to anyone - honestly we can’t wait to go back and try the VR and outside...

Very mixed feelings we did the virtual escape room set in Egypt. We got kitted up with the VR head sets but then left to it, my wife’s head set hadn’t been set up correctly so she called out for help but no one came. Then we did a tutorial but were stuck waiting at the end of it for 5 min as no one was there to start the game I had to take my head set off to get someone to start it. There was also lots of chatting and laughing by the owners/other people walking around so we couldn’t hear each other through the head sets some of the time. When we got to the end of the game no one was there so had to yell out again to see if that was the end of the game as we had just ran out things to do. Over all it was a great game but poorly run, still have no idea what time we managed to escape etc. Would recommend VR escape room but will try...
