This was a horrid experience. When you go to Peru, you go for MP and the rest is sort of a nice add on. This company made many mistakes when booking our tour.

did not send us on the train home at the advertised time (they sent us home a couple hours earlier than advertised on tripadvisor). Cause: bad booking, even though there were later trains available. Effect: we did not get to spend as much time at the citadel as we needed in order to do a full tour of 2-2.5 hours the same way all other tourists were getting.

booked our entry to MP Citadel/climbing of montana hours later than what was advertised. this was not communicated to us prior to departure of our trip from Cusco, even though we met with the tour company. they actively lied during our departure briefing in Cusco and said we needed to be at the bus station for 5:30am at the base of MP. Turns out, we couldnt enter until 8am (which we would have known had they printed the tickets. They said they "forgot"). Cause: they should have booked us for an earlier climb at montana and earlier entry to MP. Effect: we got cheated on our tour of MP, and only got about an hour.

the MP tour guide's phone rang 20-30 times during our pathetic 1 hour tour of the citadel. he answered it twice. Had we had a proper full tour, we would have taken in all the important parts of the citadel, but unfortunately, due to the earlier train back, we had to tour the citadel from 8:00-9:15 am when the tour guide said he had to go, and told us we had to go make our way to the entry of the mountain because our slot was from 9am-10am. Cause: bad planning on the part of this company. Effect: i lost out on a wealth of knowledge and a once in a life time experience.

our hotel was okay, but it smelled like bleach the entire time we were there. The toilet leaked. I only complained because of the amalgamation of all of the above problems together, and the hotel staff came upstairs, wiped up some of the water with a wet towel, spreading toilet water all over the bathroom floor, then left the wet towel on the floor and asked, "is it okay?"

we had nice private transport on the way to the train station at the beginning, but, on the way back, were left to take a large coach bus with very cramped seating from the train station 2 hours away from Cusco. (not a huge problem, but, you should know what you are getting into, because the transport is not all private.)

When we complained to our tour guide, he did nothing but get on the phone with the company. When we complained to the company, they refused to do anything to fix any of there mistakes. it was not until i threatened an honest and bad review that they offered us a 1 night stay at a hotel in lima. (stupid, because, we already planned accomodation for our trip here). They refused to do anything to fix their errors until after we left Cusco.

They tried to make excuses for everything, like we wont use this tour guide again, you wanted to climb montana so its your fault you did not get the advertised tour, etc. This is not true. Other montana climbers were able to get a full tour, without compromise. This company not only didn't provide services as advertised (full tour, train with return time to cusco around 10pm on day 2), they actively lied about our tickets up to MP until we were already on the way, and then refused to help fix the problem until like every other tourist, we were already out of Cusco. I have full transcripts of this conversation if anyone should want to see.

We spent a lot of money for a single overnight trip, and my husband and i are currently putting together a blog to show people how to do it on their own, for cheaper, with an overall better experience because this company is a scam. This review will be updated to include the link to this blog, as well as translation in 3 other languages. The appropriate tourism controls with the government are also...

Très mauvaise agence. Je recommande de l'éviter ! Ils ont sous traiter à une autre agence et ce qui devait être inclus nous a été réclamé. Il a fallu batailler pour récupérer le trop payé, c'est très dommage. De plus la personne à qui nous avons payé les sacs de couchages nous a dit qu'il nous rendrait le change le lendemain mais il n'était pas la ! Il devait bien le savoir. Il a fallu se peindre pour ça aussi. Je ne parle même pas des messages pour récupérer les sommes (volées) Dommage, la balade était superbe. Le PRIX : 2 fois plus cher, on s'en est aperçu en discutant avec les autres...

No tengo palabras para describir lo vivido. Sólo diré q ya puedo morir en paz. De tan solo tener una de las 7 maravillas en mi Perú. Y no x libros no x videos sino lo e vivido y visto en carne propia.cusco machupicchu ombligo del mundo.full adrenalina. Todo es murralla incaica...
