Read moreThere's a bunch of small markets and shops around the area across 2 streets. Went around 530pm on a Sunday and perhaps only 50% of shops were open. Hopefully it was not due to covid :( area was quite quiet.
You can get a bunch of souvenirs here for decent prices. Always walk around to check other offerings and negotiate. It's easy to get at least 20% discount here.
We bought our magnets and a couple of pillowcases here.
Probably more variety in cusco if you are heading there and slightly better...
Read moreThe Mercado is quite big and has different shops where you can find souvenirs and other stuff. Most of the stalls sell just the same generic things for tourists, nothing unique. Only few shops deserved my attention. Compared to other places in Peru I found the place more expensive. As someone else here already suggested, if you are heading to Cusco just wait to be there and visit the San Pedro Market. If not, negotiate the price and shop around before...
