We already sunk in front of the cliffs(Rocks),
the last part of the sea was to rough and the waves got bigger.
Our Kajak seemed to be damaged because it was immediately half full of water at the rough part. Other Kajaks hadn't that problem, our guide didn't checked the Kajaks before the trip.
Back to the situation at the cliff, we stopped because another group and boats were in front of us, at that time the waves pushed us near the Cliff, plus the waves back from the cliff hit us hard again, that hard that we began to sink, more than the half Kajak was already full and under water, same like me in the back.
I yelled 3 times to our guide who always was infront of our group, after that third time he came and questioned what is going on. After he saw it, he made fun: "Oh you already sink, can you swim" What a joke, sure we can swim and the life jackets help, but if the waves smash you several times at the cliff, you are 100% dead! Every kid knows that, your swimming skills and life jacket can't help against waves that pushes you back and forth against the rocks.
After the guide realized the situation he called the boat that picked us up in the really last second. My Girlfriend thought she must die now, that situation was pure horror for her.
So think twice before your start with them, imo they had to check the boats before starting, if they have damages on the under water site. They have to ask if all can swim, they have to ask if someone wants to go in the rougher part of the sea. All before the start the tour!
A good guide always checks the group, from first to last all the way and not just at stops and from the front. Go back and forth and take care of your people. Not to mention what can happen here...
Read moreI highly recommend this kayak tour! The experience was incredibly peaceful and relaxing, with very friendly and attentive guides who took their time to ensure we enjoyed every moment. They allowed us to take photos and were always looking out for the group.
The paddle was exciting, especially when we navigated through the beautiful caves and learned about the geological formations and history of the area thanks to our guides' explanations. We also enjoyed a stop at the beach, where we had the option to play soccer or relax for a bit. Additionally, snorkeling gear was available for use, and although there were some seaweed near the shore, once you waded into the water about a meter or meter and a half deep, you could see beautiful schools of fish.
What I loved most was the flexibility our guides offered: we could choose to return by boat or paddle back, which was great for those who were tired. However, from what I observed, the experience is truly enhanced by paddling in a kayak. Being in the water and paddling allows you to connect with nature in a way that isn't possible from a boat. I would definitely recommend opting to paddle the entire tour to get the most out of the experience.
Overall, the tour lasted around 2 hours and 30 minutes and was a very complete experience. I would recommend this tour 100%! If you're looking for a relaxing and exciting adventure, this kayak tour is an excellent choice. Special thanks to the best guides,...
Read moreI joined their kayaking tour to Ponta da Piedade. It was fine, but there could be better tours out there.
👍 The lowest price I found. 30€ in cash per person. Other companies charge 35-40€. The water-proof bag comes in handy. Staff is friendly and informative.
👎 The itinerary includes snorkelling, but it didn’t happen because our guide forgot to take snorkelling equipment. I saw that another group with a different guide didn’t go snorkelling either. Makes me think that they never really planned to let anyone do snorkelling. Don’t be fooled by the “beach that can only be reached by boat”. The sea and beach are FULL of seaweeds that it’s impossible to swim or even go into the sea at all. You can only stay on the small beach. We kayaked for 1 hour, stayed on the beach for ~20 mins, and kayaked back for about 40 mins. Was more like 2 hours than 2.5. Lockers are limited. When they’re full, your personal things can’t be locked.
Overall, it’s not bad, but for an extra 5€ or so you could probably...
