I truly wish this place was better than it is. We need it in Lagos and the idea of bao was really exciting, as good Asian food is basically nonexistent in Lagos and this was promising and different. We've been twice... and neither time blew us away unfortunately.

The bao themselves are very nice. The fillings leave something to be desired taste-wise. They're also quite difficult to eat as they are stuffed full (it's a good thing, but very messy. Not enough bao for the filling.) The char sui wasn't really real char sui. And very heavy on a sweet sauce which wasn't nice. Not sure why there was so much sauce for char sui. The salt & pepper fries were awful though. Just regular frozen fries and over-fried. We barely ate any. The pork & shrimp wontons have so little shrimp that my friend asked if I had ordered her the wrong dish. (I had not. There is no plain pork wonton on the menu.) Cooked well and decent size but lacking in flavour.

It is nice to have craft beers and craft sodas! 👌 But don't expect great specialty coffee. It's not that sort of place.

The space is bright but a little lacking in atmosphere. The staff is very friendly. We will still go back for bao every so often, and hopefully it will keep getting better. I want to give...

We tried to be understanding about the staff being overwhelmed and waited for about half an hour for our order. After that reasonable period of time and seeing that everyone around us was served we asked for a status on our order. We were told that they would still need 5 minutes for the order to be started and an additional 10-15 minutes to prepare the dishes. I thought this was inadmissible. Complaining to the waitress about the delay (without any previous note from the staff) and saying either the order be fulfilled briefly or we would leave she went to the kitchen and after speaking with their colleagues I experienced one the most outrageous and unbelievable reactions from the kitchen staff when one the cooks, answering to her colleague, makes a gesture with is hand like waiving as one could easily understand as saying “don’t bother, send them away”. This was the tipping point of the whole experience. Rudeness and lack of ability to address a client complaint is something I have never experienced before. Truly disappointed and never to repeat. Hope they change their minds about how to speak or react to...

The food was delicious I really loved the Asian flavours ! However for the price the amount received was not satisfactory for me or my friend. The bao buns are quite small and I would need maybe 3-4 pieces to be full. They were very tasty tho so. We also took teriyaki cauliflower bites which were super tasty but for 6 euros we got like 5 pieces of cauliflower. Essentially the place has good food but is pricy if you want to be full. The place is a bit like a food haul with benches and tables outside which made a nice atmosphere. However to get your food the staff give you a stick with a number and then they have to find you when food is ready , the system is a bit weird since it would be easier if each person got an electronic vibrating plate.

If you are here it’s a good idea to try the food as there aren’t many Asian places in Lagos. But...

What a surprising and excellent find during our stay in Lagos. My husband and I tried a couple different Bao buns, teriyaki chicken and spicy Korean cauliflower. Both were absolutely excellent! I found the flavors just the right balance. I had refreshing sangria and the hubby had a craft beer he would not be able to have at home, which was a win! By the way, this place has a pretty extensive craft beer menu to choose from, along with many cocktails and wine options too! The owner and staff are so friendly and kind. If you are in the area, stop by and give this place a try. This is definitely happy food!
