Murphy’s Sports Bar & Kitchen — Restaurant in Loulé

Disgraceful, extremely unprofessional, AVOID AVOID AVOID I would like to preface this review by saying I am 27 years of age and manage a 1600 capacity hospitality operation in Ireland and I have never once had an experience so bad that I have left a review.

This establishment has pictures of their products on the menu which in no way, shape or form represent the actual product which you will receive. We sent back 2 T-bone steaks which we asked for rare and medium rare - when these were dropped at the table they were nothing short of cremated. We sent these back without taking a single bite and then refused point blank to pay for a sub par product which we did not consume. We finished the other mains and drinks, paid the rest of the bill and left the restaurant. Then proceeded to walk the gorgeous marina and get a drink in another establishment which do not deserve to be named in this review. We were then extremely aggressively approached by a server from Murphy’s who started screaming at my mother in law for not paying the bill, that server then snatched a 50 euro note from my wife - when I abruptly returned to Murphy’s to demand the money back they then refused to give me the money and insisted we pay the rest of the bill for which we did not have. I would like to stress that one particular server was phenomenal but I do not want to mention her name in case they receive grief from their colleagues.

Avoid this establishment for your life, or you may find yourself in an extremely intimating scenario which you will find yourself wanted to defend...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Murphy’s Sports Car and Kitchen, and it was an unforgettable experience! This unique venue brilliantly combines the thrill of sports with a fantastic dining experience.

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a vibrant atmosphere filled with the excitement of sports on big screens and the tantalizing aroma of delicious food. The decor is stylish and welcoming, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal with friends or family.

The menu is a delightful mix of classic comfort food with a modern twist. I tried the buffalo chicken wings, and they were some of the best I’ve ever had—crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, packed with flavor! The gourmet burgers are also a standout, cooked to perfection and served with fresh, crispy fries.

What truly sets Murphy’s apart is their exceptional service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about ensuring a great dining experience. They recommended the perfect drink to complement my meal, and their knowledge of the menu is impressive.

This place is the best bar in Vilamoura by far with great drinks and atmosphere. The bar staff are truly amazing and talented Carlos, Joel and Rodrigo are great and Daniela all so welcoming. A new member of staff Sunil is also a nice edition to the team. Fab location in Marina also. We are always met with a smile. The bar staff will create Fun cocktails that can be made from their list or personalised for you. Also beer, Guinness, whiskeys, gin and local spirits and many more favourites are all quality genuine drinks so no bad hangovers. This place is good for all ages, family, groups of friends even couples or people alone everyone feels welcome. They have great mocktails too if you don’t fancy drinking and the coffee is the best. The food is good too. We love the large outside screen with live sports makes it good for watching the football or any sport. Also the live music entertainment makes it a hit for all ages.
