You're definitely paying for the location on the Harbour. I was a bit disappointed in that I'd made a reservation for 2 and we ended up being seated close to the kitchen without much of a view of the waterfront, even though there were tables of 2 available closer to the front of the restaurant. Inside, there were quite a few larger groups there that night made it quite loud.
Overall, the food was okay, good but not incredible considering the price per person. My partner and I shared the caprese salad, the seared tuna salad niçoise, which was probably the highlight of the meal (although there was too much mayonnaise), and the monkfish with a side of extra grilled vegetables. The fish was quite good but slightly overcooked. We each also had a glass of white wine. I believe the bill came to somewhere around 110€, which I found expensive for the quantity and quality - I'm from Montreal and we regularly can spend that much for dinner but we generally get more food -2 mains instead of one, a second drink each- and better quality food for the same price.
Like I said earlier, you're paying for the location on the harbour. I'm glad I tried it, and it wasnt the worst experience, but personally, I would recommend saving Vilamoura Harbour for a walk and an ice cream or a drink, and having dinner somewhere off the main...

We were seated and drink order taken. Atmosphere was nice, a little chilly from the open doors, but not bad. It was fun to people watch as we waited for our food.
I ordered the duck dish and he had ordered the filet beef with veal risotto. His was tasty, but over salted. I was expecting the duck breast to have a crisp skin, a couple pieces were tough, but tasty.
Service was slow, despite there being a lot of staff and it being a little later. Most larger parties were leaving as we...
Read moreI ate at Haven the first night in town. Then ate there again on my third (and final night). Service was exceptional and the food was amazing. Rodrigo (owner and chef) really cares about serving the best food. The first night I ordered the shrimp risotto. I was then informed that it would take about 30 minutes because they cook it from scratch when ordered. I was happy to wait and got to eat some of the best risotto I’ve ever had. The second time I ordered the beef medallions. Cooked to perfection and super tender.
They just closed for the season and will reopen 1 February. I will definitely be coming back.
Lots of restaurants around the marina to choose from but do yourself a favor and...
