We come from where indoor play areas are our go to throughout the entire summer (it is way too hot to go outside), so we know what to expect or at least we thought we did.
We tried to go to mala ulica on a rainy day only to find out they do not have any space for strollers (despite having a stroller that folds into a small bag). Every single play area in our country has a designated space for strollers, so this came as a surprise. We were offered a lock and told we can lock the stroller outside underneath a small roof. Unfortunately it was full of bicycles and other strollers, so it was impossible to leave it there. We were then told we can leave it out in the rain at the backyard of the play area, which sort of defeats the purpose. Leaving it in the car is also not an option, since every larger parking lot is quite far.
Another thing that is surprising is their opening hours - they close at 6:30 PM on weekdays. Not sure how parents can take their children there if they work full time.
I cannot comment on how it is inside, since we never made it there, so im giving it another star (2 instead of 1) under the assumption that it is actually...
Read moreRestaurant bar Gig is a new place - before it was named Lačna koza (Hungry goat). They serve daily menu and food a la carte. We had pork ribs with barbecue sauce, crisp potatoes with vegetable side dish. Ribs were perfectly done with crunchy skin. Another dish was black risotto with calamari - rice was just done and lemon gave nice taste to it. Two different dishes with Slovene speciality flap mushroom (jurčki) - taste is specific, a bit dark, woody and slimy, and food was good. Service is nice. Gig has also good beer choices and is a place for club concerts. During summer daily menu is somehow summer menu, consisted by some 10 dishes. A bit awkward is also that same daily summer menu is served through whole day, till 15 h cost 6,5 and after 8 €. Ala carte food is...

So it is great to see around not as often... is a nice place for a small town such Ljubljana is, but it's not comparable to bigger/hugger places from the cities like...
