Let me start by saying that I really enjoy Nuri sushi. It is delicious, they have a wide variety of options to choose from, and their prices are reasonable. I order from them frequently as they are close to where I work. Unfortunately, the hygiene standard is a great concern for me. The past 2 times I was at this store waiting for my order, I noticed disturbing incidents. The first time, the guy who was preparing my sushi stepped away to speak to someone at the counter and then proceeded to dig into his pocket with this gloved hands, took out his wallet and pulled out some cash. He then continued to count the cash - cash that is generally known to be a top carrier of germs. After he handed over the cash to the person at the counter, he went back to preparing my sushi WITH THE SAME GLOVES. The same guy, when preparing the sauce for my sushi, stuck his finger in the sauce tub, and then tasted it, as in he put his finger on his tongue! The second time (a different day), the person chopping up the crab sticks accidentally dropped one ON THE FLOOR, picked it up, and then added it back to the pile of crab sticks that were to be used for the sushi. Whilst I dont eat sushi my family does and there sushi as rated by them was very good but that's unfortunately where it ends. The tables are minimal and you feel your you are being watched by people waiting for a table, the beef chow mein came in 10min from sitting down and the flavor was good but the beef was dry. the beef shawarma pizza or should i say green pepper pizza came 10min after the chow mein and was slathered in sauce, with limited beef shawarma, lots and I mean lots of green peppers and a generic tasting base bought at any store. Lastly the service, while the waiters were friendly they are held up by the staff making the sushi and they are unfortunately responsible for making excuses for the chefs...I assume the main chef is standing around cutting a cucumber for ages and flirting with customers. My family waited 55min for a 15 piece crunch platter and a 20 piece combo whilst people who came after us (20min after us) ordered and a take out got served there food and left .
