Greenstone Shopping Centre — Local services in Gauteng

In general, it's a decent shopping center. There are, however, a few things that need to be ironed out, such as: 1) a while ago, myself and my daughter got stuck in the elevator, we rang the bell, spoke to someone, and waited about 10 minutes but no one had come yet, so I managed to pry the doors open, luckily it was in line with the outer doors, and got us out. I then proceeded to wait till someone came, took them almost 40 minutes in total just to come down, and if I'm not mistaken, the elevators are on the same side as the management office, which is about a 2 minute walk. So their management staff might want to look into it. 2) the booms. I don't mind waiting a bit for a boom to open, but when it makes me check , twice, to see if the card has come back out or something , it means it's taking very long just to open so people can drive out. 3) not enough family parking bays around the shopping center. To add to this, I believe "moms and tots" kinda makes dads feel left out, my opinion as a dad.

Otherwise the shops within the center are numerous and you can find everything you need...

I normally enjoy shopping by Greenstone shopping centre because there is ample parking and you can get in and out the centre easily. However, if you park on the side where Checkers and Wespack is, there is always issues with the booms not working when u want to leave. Yesterday it was very busy as it is end of the month and the parking area quite full. We got in through the booms but when we wanted to leave the booms were once again malfunctioning and no one could get out. There was so many cars trapped inside, and no one from the centre would answer the call via the help button. People were getting angry, getting out of their cars, creaming and shouting out of annoyance. No staff to assist, no answer to the calls. This is not acceptable. If it continues like this I will find somewhere else to shop. There is many centres in close proximity to Edenvale. You don't expect this type of frustration if you still have to pay R5 for 20...

Everything you could look for, all under one roof!

A shopping mall that's spacious, has a wide variety of stores, restaurants, entertainment facilities (cinema, game room, ), etc. A mall which has almost every amenity one could look for.

One thing though, robberies happen frequently here, so keep your eyes open and be safe always! I had my phone swiped from my front jean pocket without me even knowing. Don't keep your phone in your back pocket if that's what you do, preferably keep it tucked deep in your front pocket or if you're a female, try to keep it zipped in your handbag and your handbag always around your shoulders, between your arm and body.

So whether you decide to go alone, as a couple, go with friends or even together as a family, theres always something for everybody to do!
