Steers Greenstone — Restaurant in Gauteng

Cashier and another lady who works in the kitchen were very unprofessional. Before we could even order she was shouting and saying buns are out of stock for now. We continued looking into the menu, when we were ready to order we greeted her and she shouted at us saying "We have no buns" We were not even there to buy burgers. We told her we are here to order chicken, then she screamed and called one of her colleagues and called out his name which I can hardly remember now and said "Do we have Chicken?” that is when we realised that she just did not want to serve us. Her colleague replied and said yes. Then she just walked away without even asking us what flavour.

Then the Cashier helped us pay but made us tap our card without even asking us if we would like to tap or not. So instead of us paying R174 for the chicken we ended up paying R183 and a few cents. I guess that was a way of giving herself a tip when they had just given us bad service. We didn't notice all of that until we got home.

Another thing we almost didn't notice was that they left out chips when we bought a meal that included large chips. Luckily my husband noticed and went back and asked for what we paid for.

Terrible experience! Ordered telephonically for delivery on 19 October. The lady taking the order seemingly did not speak, understand or write English! I also could noy understand a word she was saying.... seriously Steers, employ people who have a rudimentarty idea of English!! I spelled out my name and address THTEE times.... SMS to me had my street name spelled totally incorrect (no idea who, if anybody, would ever receive that order! The street name was located in Greenstone Shopping Centre accirding to the SMS! I called back and was diverted to Steers at some filling station, I called another 2 times until I EVENTUALLY reached a lady who had a better grasp of the English language and whom I could understand but when the order arrived the burgers were really noy enjoyable at all! Whatever you do, DON'T order from this Steers for delivery! It was a horror show of confusion and poor communication and poor service from staff and the manager. More than 1 hour after I ordered and paid online (and order was accepted by them), they call me to advise that they don't deliver where I stay. I mean what de hell?!?! Verified by Google maps I am only 2.1km from the store! But spoke to them twice before and they confirmed my order is on its way. Then I get n message to say my order has arrived enjoy your meal, but no delivery was made. Then my order arrive 20 min after the sms while they tell me on the phone they can't deliver to my address. MASSIVELY DISORGANISED BRANCH! They should just scrap the delivery service completely! UPDATE: Even Steers head office is USELESS!!
