Planned to have a dinner of 6 people during Christmas holiday to introduce Indonesian food to my Spanish family. Made reservation by phone ~3 days in prior, all the details were repeated correctly by the restaurant during the booking process. On the D day, we arrived and the restaurant was closed!! First question I asked when booking was “Are you open on 27 Dec?” And they said yes. Also, following Google they should be open but there was no update whatsoever from the restaurant if they’d change schedule on that day (although they had asked my phone number). It couldn’t be any worse, I’m a native Indonesian and so are the people working at the restaurant. We spoke the same language and supposedly this kind of thing shouldn’t have happened! The food was pretty good but the lacking of communication was terrible! Understood that seems like its the only Indonesian restaurant in Madrid, but there is no excuse for wasting people’s time especially if you’re running a business. What a waste of time and...
Read moreFinally... something resembling Malaysian food in Spain. Friendly service, lovely decor and space around tables, food rich in flavour and plentiful. My mouth watered at the menu choices so we chose the tasting menu at 25€ per person including a drink and desert. It was the perfect choice. We couldn't eat it all so asked to take it away. The care taken in doing that to ensure the curry didn't leak was very much appreciated. We do wish the food had been slightly spicier in terms of chilli but suspect that they catered in part to the Spanish palette. In Indian restaurants in Spain they generally ask how we'd like it. They did offer chilli sauce which was tasty.
100% recommended. If in Madrid again, we will definitely go back and will recommend it to our friends. It was well worth walking an hour from Atocha train station in 30+° heat to experience this taste...

The lamb satay sounded amazing, but it wasn’t very spicy and the lamb was too lean, so it wasn’t very flavorful, although the sauce was good. The fried pastries were delicious and pretty oily, also with a delicious sauce. The fried rice with chicken and egg we ordered was very bland unfortunately, it definitely needs more spice. Overall we were disappointed but we will try this place again as many things on the menu...
