Be very careful with them!
They invited me to participate in the Luxembourg Art Fair at LuxExpo The Box, practically praising my work as if I were Picasso. They know how to get your hopes up. They sell you the dream perfectly.
All they really wanted was my more than €1,000, which I paid them to participate in the fair. Not only did not a single piece sell at the Galería Gaudí stand throughout the entire fair, but once they've charged you that money to participate, they absolutely don't care about your work, the technique used, you as a person, or anything else. They've already made their business deal with you.
And the impression the whole thing gave... they pile up the work of dozens of artists in a minimal space, making it look like a cheap flea market. Works were placed far above eye level, far below, piled up, and crammed together, etc. Maximizing their income. One of the gallery representatives was walking around the stand in shorts and a T-shirt, very dignified for an international art fair in Luxembourg. The sloppiness of these people goes so far as not even translating the labels with the works' technique descriptions into English, leaving them written in Spanish (in Luxembourg, where so many people speak our language). When I asked them about it, they made a face like... "???" and neither answered nor did anything to fix it.
It's a perfect business for them. At each of these fairs, where they take advantage of the innocence of hopeful emerging artists, they pocket over €20,000 because they invite every poor artist they can, and then cross Europe in a van full of piled-up artworks to save as much as possible.
Don't be the next innocent person to fall for this... spend that lump sum on a good trip or anything...
