Gran Canaria excursion would have been a fantastic trip, until we arrived back at Santa Cruz after disembarking the Fred Olsen ferry. However, the tour guide did not meet us as promised. When we found the return bus, the tour guide appeared and stated there was no room for my disabled mum's mobility scooter and that we would have to return to our hotel in the south of Tenerife by taxi paid for by ourselves. He stated that we didn't advise them at the time of booking that we were taking the scooter, which was incorrect and he also stated that our names were not on the list for the return bus. We booked this as a days excursion. If we had not advised of the scooter, how was it that the tour guide in Gran Canaria appeared to be expecting it and a disabled badge had been placed on the front seat of both buses that we travelled on. We really enjoyed our time with our guide Selene who was charming, polite and friendly. She actually cared about the atmosphere during the trip and we learned a lot about the island. She recommended great places and activities and everything was surprisingly organised. We are the most impressed by how easily Selene switches between languages and remains positive and funny the whole time. Our guide Christian was very professional and knowledgeable. We were looking forward to this tour but, we only had an opportunity to go on this tour on the day of our departure home. Christian made certain we were back to our hotel on time. We noticed his attention to each person on the bus. His motivation and energy made the tour more interesting. Our driver, Juan Carlos was an excellent driver and was a gentleman, helping my mother to get off the bus.
