Please, be very careful with this restaurant, dear tourists of Puerto de la Cruz. It can be a good option for desserts or drinks but I will never recommend it for lunch or dinner. It can ruin your stomach and therefore, your vacations. Firstly, we asked for bruschettas. They were less than okay, very acid to my taste and no E.V.O.O., basilico or salt, only tasted of bad quality vinegar. We asked for a couple of entrecôte cuts that from the moment that arrived to our table they were visibly poorly cooked, not respecting doneness customer's choice. The aspect of the entrecôte looked like it was boiled instead of the grilled or griddled two or three layers with different cooking temperatures that gives the colour to every layer. Didn't smell at all like fresh meat, it smell a lot of... Tallow? That disgusting smell remained in my hands and mouth the whole day even washing it many times. The vegetables (green beans and baby carrots) came still frozen inside, it was pretty disgusting. The cook dont try food before serving it. We didn't eat it. I asked for a "patata al horno" (baked potato) and most of the potato was hard to bite and unsavory. Again, not testing before serving it. You couldn't stick the knife in from top to bottom of how hard it was inside. The Cafe de Paris sauce that accompanied the baked potato was tasteless and basic, it was just butter mixed with some spices. No salt, no paprika, no Dijon mustard, no Perrins or Oporto wine, nothing but a simple butter and spices tasteless poor mix. I also want to mention that since we eat it at noon, my father has been throwing out and had diarrhea, the whole afternoon and night vomiting very hard, and I had been since this day with diarrhea until today and also bad stomach, and my stomach is bombproof. It ruined our Christmas afternoon and day after. We had to spent it at home drinking electrolite isotonic drinks and sitting closer to the bathroom. And because of this less-than-poor food experience I will never eat there anymore I wont recommend for such. Its a beautiful classic restaurant with a lovely decoration, the attention was very good, nice wine palette, but the food experience was an absolutely total disappointment, one of the worse I've had in my visits...

First of all, this is my first review on google EVER! So I ordered the Spare Ribs with Potatoes because it looked quite good on the next table...well, it wasn't good. The Potatoes tasted like they kept them in the fridge for 5 days straight and then put them in the microwave to warm them up. Just terrible really. To the ribs: Im no freaking siberian tiger that can rip off meat from a bone like its nothing. They were extremely chewy and the Barbecue sauce tasted like the average toilet smells. We also ordered a salad, got no oil whatsoever, no salt ok. Could've asked for it, but no waiter/waitress was in sight the whole time. The biggest problem with all this was that we were sooo hungry and i really gave my best to eat enough not to starve...like you just keep going to survive. That was the food part. Now to the pay part. We asked for the bill like 4 times (30 mins past) until they told us our receipt got lost. So the good people we are, we told them exactly what we've had and waited for another 15 mins. Meanwhile i started googling when someone can leave a restaurant without paying (possible in Germany after asking the waiter 3 times and waiting for atleast 30 mins - good to know). I usually am a Person of great tips, because i know how terrible it can be to be a waiter/waitress, but this was the first time ever in my 30 year old life, i did not give a tip. So this is it, my first and probably last review on Google for a very long...

Dear manager, thank you very much for your hospitality! The manager is polite, adequate and friendly. But the waiters are very unpleasant. One sat us down at the table and forgot. The second one came to rudely kick me out. I was getting ready to leave, the first one came and said that the manager gave us permission today. And 100 times, like a parrot, in Spanish he repeated that the terrace is open from 7, but today it can be earlier. I say that I came here not yesterday, and not tomorrow. Today! Why do I need to repeat this 100 times?! In general, we sat down, although the mood was already ruined. We ordered fish fillet - they brought a whole fish full of small bones:( They wanted steak, but no pork. We ordered ribs - they brought chips. This is when the ribs were in the freezer for several years, then they were cooked... And again they were put in the freezer for another few years. Taste... it's not there. It's tree bark, not ribs. The potatoes are wrinkled. It turned out to be boiled potatoes in their skins. If you don't know how to cook, don't try it! It's even better over a fire. Is it really possible to cook better with a professional kitchen and a ton of spices and oils?! Vegetables The "chips" were simply boiled. This is crazy. Boiled vegetables are served in self-service canteens, not in restaurants. I only liked the fried potatoes and respect to the bartender for the cocktail. The overall impression was...

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! The worst restaurant I have ever been to in my life. We were given a choice of table. Sat down and asked for the table to be cleaned as it was dirty. The waitress said take another table as she didn’t want to wipe it down. Begrudgingly she did in the end. We ordered a tomato and mozzarella salad and it came saying there was no mozzarella but a different cheese which was fine. My partner ordered a salmon steak but after eating some of it, found it completely raw in the middle. Asked a waiter to come to the table but he just carried on doing what he was doing and came over when it suited him. Pointed out the raw food, he just picked it up and walked away. No apology or words, then came back with the same piece of fish cooked more. Not a fresh portion. Totally unacceptable. Who would eat that after seeing it raw? We then brought this to an attention of another waiter who said the manager would come. Nobody did. The waiters hide away packing down service knowing full well they should be attending to customers but don’t. In the end another waitress took full control and we left. Go to McDonald’s, the service and food is much better! The only reason this restaurant survives is the location as people will just walk in. Don’t, there are many better places close by. My fillet steak was 20% inedible too.

We were greeted very well today by female staff, so one star given for that. Be Warned: Menus for drinks had no prices on them, Cakes were not priced either, so this is NOT good customer service! We enjoyed our cakes, very tasty, good quality! So the second star given for that. The fresa smoothies were disappointing, all frothy water, very few strawberries, no strawberry flavour! The sea view from our table was good, except when people would stand next to, or in front of it and spoil the views, as they were waiting for the next table to become free. The restaurant need to manage this better, with a rope barrier or something, and the fact that the staff start removing your dishes before you have finished, this is rude! We had our bill and I explained we did not have colada jungle smoothies and the male waiter shouted "WHAT!" Pointing at the bill and was very impolite! I was shocked, he did not listen to my query and insinuated I was wrong! We paid and left disgusted. We do not recommend this place because it is extremely overpriced, deceiving, as it has no prices on the menus we had. If you disagree you get treated badly, very unprofessional male staff!! Very poor overall! There are better places to go in this area.

No vayan. No entren.
