My family used to frequent this venue but ever since its listing on the Michelin guide, things just went down hill. First, there’re only two time slots for dinner reservation, when we arrived at our time slot, there was no clear guideline as to where to form a line so a bunch of people just hogged the entrance, fighting each other for the hostess’s attention. It was such a chaotic situation and completely ruined our mood before we even entered the restaurant. The quality of the food is also declining. We used to think the Shao Long Bao rivals the ones by Ding Tai Fong but it’s just tasting average now, with the skin a tad too thick. The fried rice is also not memorable as what it used to be. The only saving grace are the fried pork rib and the red bean buns. Unfortunately these aren’t enough incentive for us to return for a long while. ——————

Not worth going out of your way to come to this location. Plenty of other restaurants for xlb in the area that I’d rather support.
EDIT: Skip the mung bean pancake. It feels far too greasy and lacks flavor. If you’re in the hotel, Go downstairs to the Taiwanese Restaurant (also featured in the Michelin Guide) for the Red...
Read moreBeautiful restaurant at in the 10th floor of the hotel. Getting there can be a bit tricky - enter through the department store left side entrance (when facing the main entrance, walk to the left side). There should a winding staircase to the left, which will take to the elevator banks at the lobby.
Food was very good, but the soup dumplings did not have a lot of soup and the wrappers tasted a bit like flour. Prices not terribly high in a nice setting and...
