I had a very bad experience yesterday on my flight from Nairobi to Dar PW732
I am not sure if you understand the situation at Nairobi airport these days, but the queues to enter and to go through security takes forever even if you arrive 3hrs ahead. Apparently, my name was called but I did not hear anything, (the sound systems is not very audible at the airport), I am not sure if it made any difference however I reached the gate 20:45 to find that they were nearly closing the gate. The plane was not at all full perhaps 15 passengers, so not busy at all. Reaching Dar and after passport control at around 11:30 I found that my luggage had not arrived as it had been offloaded! The Precision-air staff at Dar T2 told me not to worry as my luggage would surely arrive on the next plane scheduled to arrive 12:00am. I asked then to verify in the system with my luggage tag to give me confidence that indeed it would arrive, but did not or could not, I waited till 12:00, then 12:30 no plane yet. The staff told me the plane had gone to Zanzibar! And would reach any minute, but weren’t sure apparently unable to know where the plane really was and whether or not my luggage was onboard. When I checked the flight details it was PW 720 which is not flying via Zanzibar but via Kilimanjaro. Notifying the same to the staff to understand if they really knew what was going on, they insisted the plane would come from Zanzibar any minute. Now 01:00am I gave up and filled out the missing luggage form. Reaching my hotel at 2:00am I was called that my luggage had now arrived at 2:00am, they could not deliver until tonight so I had to go back to the airport to get it in the morning.
Why did my luggage get off-loaded first instance and before boarding was closed? How is it that your staff is not able to verify where luggage is at a given time using the luggage tags for reference? Why does you staff not know the whereabouts of your flights and give accurate information?

Read morePrecision Air deserves Negative stars.. you are better off taking Air Tanzania!
Nothing about this airline is precise, they are terrible in EVERYTHING they are paid to do.
Flight should be on time - our flight was cancelled 10 minutes before boarding WITHOUT A REASON Checked in baggage should be transported to the location - they lost out luggage and had no answer for over an hour for where our bags were (for a 15 minute flight from Zanzibar to Dar Es Salaam)
We missed an Emirates flight to Dubai because of their delays.. and they did not care at all.
They did not take liability for delaying and ultimately making people miss their Emirates flight to Dubai. After arguing for hours they agreed to give us a hotel stay (after we purchased new tickets for the next day and showed them the confirmation)
There is a supervisor named GRACE MAKUNDI who does not have basic manners or knows how to solve issues. God alone knows how she became a supervisor - she must have bribed her way up to that position because she is not at all equipped to be a supervisor) She left me with a 2 year old child stranded in Dar Es Salaam (a place we are not familiar with) and didn't even have to courtesy to be present and solve the issue that the God forsaken flight caused me and my family. She had the audacity to just walk away when confronted and didn't care that I asked for her name to lodge a complaint.
YOU ARE BETTER OFF TAKING AIR TANZANIA because the people in the Air Tanzania sales office tried helping us when it was not even their job. They were soo much nicer to speak to and clearly more educated and trained for the job.
If you go to Precision Air's sales office, you will see that the staff very obviously hate their jobs.. hates their lives even.. there is no smile, there is no greeting or good word and they are not helpful at all. They will not even make a call to their own supervisor - and make you call internationally to get...
Read moreFlew Precision Air from Dar Es Salaam to Zanzibar instead of taking the ferry. Had spoken to Precision Air customer care both on call and on email as their baggage allowance, reporting time etc. were not mentioned clearly anywhere. We proactively well in advance enquired if there is anything else that they will need from our end. Their response - nothing.
We reach the Dar airport, Terminal 2, their staff introduced a new condition for all flyers, they must present the credit card used to book the flight or they cannot board. I was not carrying all of my Credit cards like several other people on the flight. We all were asked to find an image of the card, print it, submit it with a copy of our passports. All this printing etc was outside the airport and a huge hassle - all because Precision Air did not find it important to convey this to their fliers or mention is anywhere in the ticket. Very poor experience.
Sharing your printed card details with anyone especially in a foreign country is a huge security issue. Only after I insisted that I am not comfortable sharing these details with you, they allowed a print with few blurred out card numbers.
Flight is in good condition though, staff on flight was helpful and well-behaved. Barely lasts 15 mins, is a small carrier or...
