Why a wonderful experience! Akemi is simply an amazing stop for an hour or six; revolving restaurant at the top of Dar, with an exceptional staff (especially Miriam, the waitress), if you have chance of stopping here you’ll not be disappointed. The food was 5-star, and the chef prepares so many different things that you’re going to find a flavor that will be exquisite (or even all the flavors, like me). Amazing food. Amazing service. The views are to die for! And the wine selection is top notch. Whether on a tight budget or looking to spend money, you have all options here. I was so supremely happy we spend the day here, especially for the Sunday buffet.

I had planned on visiting it for a long time for the unique revolving restaurant experience. However, that's all there was about it - a gorgeous city view with average food, decor, and service. The menu had many choices, but most seafood options weren't available (on a Sunday night). The cocktails were decent but not great. We ordered pasta and chicken 65. The pesto pasta was delicious, but the Alfredo was just OK. The decor was nice and didn't distract from the outside view (which is the highlight). The restaurant revolves slowly and completes a round only in about 2 hours, which is perfect. However, we were surprised when the staff asked us to wrap up by 10.30 pm, which is extremely early by Dar standards. It's worth going once for the view and experience, but the food and drinks are overpriced for the quality offered.

I can summarise my experience at Akemi like this- Great view, Good food, Friendly staff. We went there for lunch and were really happy with the food. The revolving part is also very smooth and viewing experience adds to the overall eating experience. They don’t start Tandoor / Oven during the lunch hours. Or it wasn’t on when we went. So we couldn’t get Naan or any other Tandoor items. So make sure to ask them before hand if the Tandon is on if you are going for lunch and intend to eat Tandoor items. One can also ask for special decorations for a table for special occasions . Overall, an excellent place and a great experience. Recommend.

It's the best overall view of Dar-Es-Salaam you can get (I think) it's on the 21st floor. The floor is moving 360° but you can walk around. I changed 2x from table. Also during my visit there, I noticed people entering and taking pictures without consuming anything. So feel free to enter the building, move up to the 21st floor, take your pictures and leave again. They even have a outdoor smoking area. The good I ate was quite good. I took the chicken curry with rice and a afogatto as dessert. The Margarita cocktail was the best I had here in Tanzania.

The food was tasty(I ordered a salad) and the view was amazing. They have round spining/moving floor, so you will be able to eat with a city view and ocean view as well. The Restaurant is not cheap, I paid 22 000tzs for salad. But I am giving just 4 stars not because of prices. The service was dissapointing. As a client it is my decision if i want to tip the waiter or no and in this restaurant i was advised by the waiter to give him a tip, which is inappropriate in my opinnion but it was also kind of funny.
