Nice location, this was the best part, yes the other reviews state how clean it is and this is true, ours rooms smelled like bleach. The property is older, yet clean doesn’t mean you should get an inflated rating this should be the expectation. It’s a hospitality business. I did have an issue with the safety of our rooms. The front “door” to get into your bungalows are sliding glass doors/ patio doors which open from both ends. If you don’t check both ends you may find one side unlocked when you return. The locks were worn and rusted so they weren’t very secure and would slip and unlock, we came back from a long day out and our slider was unlocked, which I triple checked before we left. Important note if you can’t climb multiple flights of stairs daily to get to your bungalow this is not the hotel for you! I seriously lost 3lbs in 4 days and my knees paid for it. The hotel staff is very pleasant and accommodating, when we checked in there was an issue with the types of bungalows I had booked online, but the owner agreed to move us the next day to the bungalows we expected, although we did have to pay a bit extra to upgrade one of the rooms to actually have an ocean view. If your searching for a place to be 100% confortable to stay in Kata, Da Bungalows its the best option you have. |For super accessible price, this bungalows offer you giant beds to sleep, and if you want, more than 1, not only this, but you may also find in your room a 4K giant TV and in front of it a big and confortable sofa.|I stayed in 2 different rooms and they were all cleaned up and organizated. We picked this hotel based on high reviews. Unfortunately it has many flaws. Very steep path to rooms. Firt day everything lookd perfect, but second day i found in my room the bedbug!! I caught him under a glass. I imediatelly confronted the ovner. His reaction was unacceptable!! He laughed at me and said he knew about it. We left the hotel two days earlier. It was supposed to be our honeymoon, now its nightmare. Now with bedbug situation in Europe it is super relevant. I hope i wont bring them home. In near proximity the services including restaurants are aimed at Russian customers. This means lack of Thai street food and the prices are rocketing after experience from Bangkok or Chiang Mai.
