KIRI Restaurant, Kata Beach — Restaurant in Karon

Update to my review from last time, as I’m here once again with my husband.

This is our third trip to Thailand in the last year and a half, and our second consecutive stay at sugar marina. We are absolutely loving it here and this place just keeps getting better and better.

phisuth…what a legend! Your customer service is incomparable! Kiri burger restaurant should be so sooo privileged to have you as an employee. I don’t doubt even for a second, that the reason a lot of the customers are return customers and the place is packed all lunch and dinner hours is because of you! The food here is a amazing too, but you are definitely a contributing factor.

*If I could give more than five stars I would. My husband and I stayed here for two weeks and we’re lucky to be provided with a buffet breakfast through sugar marina fashion at kata beach. I have to say, we’re eaten here before and the staff are beyond welcoming and provide an exceptional service! The manager, Phisuth is one of the best hosts and one of the kindest people we’ve met. He would Bring us fresh fruit and drinks as soon as we sat down for breakfast. He did not have to do that, as it is an open buffet but he goes above and beyond! Thank you to the team for your wonderful service and amazing food! This restaurant is busy all afternoon and evening so they must be doing...

Disappointing Experience Despite Delicious-Looking Food

The food at KIRI burger & bowl at Kata Beach looked really delicious, and we had high expectations – unfortunately, we were let down.

My partner received her pizza on time, and the waiting time was perfectly fine. However, the issue started with my order: I specifically asked for my pizza with the sauce “on the side” and repeated this request several times to ensure it was clear. Despite this, my pizza never arrived, and the sauce was not delivered either.

We repeatedly followed up and were assured multiple times that the pizza was “almost ready” and just needed to be sliced. But time passed, and nothing happened. Eventually, it turned out that the sauce wasn’t available, and there seemed to be some issue with the pizza as well. Meanwhile, countless pizzas were being served to other tables, but mine simply didn’t arrive.

After 40-50 minutes of waiting, I decided to cancel the order. However, the staff refused to accept this, claiming the pizza was now “ready.” Even though language barriers can sometimes cause misunderstandings, such poor service is unacceptable.

The food might taste great, but the service was a complete disappointment. Luckily, there are plenty of alternatives...

Horrible service. Bones in chicken burger. Overpriced.

I ordered Koar Kai and a Thai Tea Sour Tamarind. The waitress repeated this to me to confirm and said they might not have Sour Tamarind, but that she would check and come back to me. Another waitress brought me a different dish. When I told her this, she left, leaving the food on the table. A third waitress came and told me that I actually ordered the dish they brought. I think it was pretty rude of her to tell me what I ordered when she wasn’t even the one who initially took my order. I like to take pictures of the menu items I have on holidays, so I showed it to her to prove that was indeed my order. She finally took the wrong dish away, without so much as an apology. After half an hour in which nothing happened (meanwhile new customers were getting their food before me) I asked about my food again, which is when I finally got it, but without the tea. At this point I was over the whole experience so I didn’t bother to ask about it.

Oh, and the person I was with ordered a chicken burger, which had a bone in it.

Really not worth the price, you can find much better options around. The place is busy and it takes a long time to get the...
