The boat itself was fine, but the staff member who checked the tickets was yelling and being rude to passengers, which has given me a very negative impression of Bangkok. I never want to use this express ferry again. The staff member shouted at passengers who were unsure about the route, demanding they get off immediately, and even pushed them with both hands. They behaved like a bully, and it was extremely unpleasant. I can pay the 40baht as much as needed,without any problem. but the staff’s attitude that treats customers as mere sources of money is low-class. The female staff member with short hair, like a man, acted as if she wielded some great power, and my children, who were with me, were terrified. Is it this boat's policy to treat passengers who make a mistake as criminals, yelling at them to get off immediately and even using force?

I had a great experience with the Chao Phraya Tourist Boat! The service was efficient, and the staff were generally helpful. However, I did find that the signage at the piers could use some improvement, as it was sometimes challenging to determine which pier to go to for the different boat routes. While asking the staff for assistance was usually ok, I encountered a few who struggled with English, making communication a bit tricky.

Overall, I had a wonderful day exploring the river and its sights. If you're planning to visit the Grand Palace, I recommend bringing a pair of elephant pants, but you can easily find them for around 100 THB at various shops – just don't settle for the first one you see!

⚠️Health and safety optional. All about the money 💰 Had the misfortune of getting on this cattle market boat from Wat Arun to Sathorn pier after 6 pm when busiest. We were herded onto a boat that was already at capacity and forced to stand in the aisle all through the boat and at the rear space. One member of staff moved us from near her desk at the back inside of the boat so we went outside at the back. Then, once 200+ people got off at Iconsiam, we all of a sudden weren't allowed to stand at the back where over 50 people were previously between stops. If these rules are so important, then enforce them and don't over pack the boats.
