Bridgewater Tavern — Restaurant in Dubai

We came Sunday evening to enjoy just a couple of drinks, the place was not at all busy but in the first 10 mins we could not get any service to approach. Fi ally we got the attention of what seemed to be a supervisor and he came, but did NOT take our orders and instead said that he will call a waiter. Interesting...

We finally ordered and very specifically mentioned to not have anything apicy in the beef quesedillas. Well, there were jalapenos inside and my mother in law was suffering as she does not, and is not allowed by the doctor to have anything spicy. Waiter came to explain that jalapeno isnt that spicy and should be fine. Seriously? He then offered to replace and send a new one. And took forever to bring water since he was so busy watching cricket on the big screen.

We wanted a second round of drinks but not once did they offer another round whenever they cleared the glasses. So we had to catch their attentions again to order more drinks. And again... and again u til we just decided to leave.

Im sorry guys but is this seriously what it has come down to? Just extremely mediocre food, service and no care or attention anymore?

Will defintely never come back here and...

I can say that BridgeWater Tavern located within JW Marriott Marquis in Dubai, is a highly acclaimed sportsbar known for its vibrant atmosphere, exceptional service, esp Pahan,Prabah & Vijaya. I wish to praise the venue for its cozy and inviting ambiance, making it an ideal spot for after-work drinks and social gatherings.The staffs are friendliness and very professionalism. I was welcomed by very friendly and professional staff, (Hostess Desk) enhancing the overall experience. it can also be highlighted the attentive service of all the staff esp. mentioning Mr. Sree the supervisor,pahan,praba & vijaya that the staff made my visit extremely pleasant by showing genuine care for their comfort. For a sports bar in Dubai this is as good as its going to get. Service was on par with JW Marriott because it is one of the 18 restaurants located on property. Food is pub style but don't expect it to be on par with Traditional British/American fare. I give it 4 stars because in Dubai it's not common to have any sports bars with over 30 UHD TVs unless in a hotel setting. Reasons? I rather say, do your own research as to why. They have decent food specials monthly which are surprisingly inexpensive. The All American Cheeseburger with everything, fries and half liter of Heineken was on special for 80 AED. Time of posting is $21.78 & €19.51. Full service bar and open latest out of most restaurants we've encountered. Overall if visiting and need to catch the special game from back home, this is a good choice. But honestly there is so much to do here......
