The Guildhall Market is a hidden gem. Slightly off the main shopping area, and somewhat hidden behind the Guildhall, it is home to a surprising variety of small shops, mainly owner operated. These include a wonderful hardware store, a pet shop, two selling unique jewellery items, one selling pashminas and exotic fabrics, a couple of cafes, a sweet shop, a second hand bookshop, a haberdashers, a barber , and a lovely shop selling soap, incense, hand-made cosmetic products and locally-made art glass.

The owners and staff are all extremely helpful and knowledgeable about their products, but also about Bath and the local area. They have an obvious pride in their market The building itself is fully wheelchair-accessible (from the High Street entrance) and is a great place to visit, especially if it's...

Bath Guildhall Market is a beautiful little shopping area we visited on our daytrip to Bath, EXCEPT for the absolutely obnoxious Karen in the front entrance (scarf seller) who was very rude when we asked for some directions. I asked her if there were any public toilets nearby & before I'd even finished my sentence I was met with a resounding "NOOOOOOOOO!!" after which she walked away with barely so much as a glance. I looked at my partner with some amazement, went to walk into the market again, and she returned with "there are toilets in Nero's GO IN THERE!" & I was left a little flabbergasted as to how someone could be so rude to a complete stranger. We just walked out in fits of laughter, a real life Karen in Bath City Centre of all places. Otherwise a beautiful building, but that woman spoiled the...

Not the greatest indoor market you'll ever come across, but it's OK.

It's the same shops that are in there now, as when I first went there 20+ years ago.... That's good or bad depending on your view.

There's a little café which serves good value food. Used a couple times.

The "deli" which is almost as you go inside, and does good small batch foods. They also do a great vegetarian selection, which my ex said was one of the best places get that sort of food. ... I only bought meat based foods, and last time, 2 samosa and a couple of onion bhajis

If you're near by, it's worth a look, but not sure it's a...

There has been trading at the Bath Guildhall for the past 800 years. That should be enough for you to want to see the building and the market inside. There are approximately 20 stall holders currently in the Guildhall and sell a range of goods from leather items to teas, beers, and treats. The Guildhall building is also used to host royal visits and holds the council chamber for Bath and North East Somerset Council and the register’s office for the Bath and North East Somerset. You can also get a nice and cheap English breakfast at the cafe inside the Guildhall. Check it out!
