Today I had an infuriating experience at this place, largely due to the owner's shockingly unprofessional behavior. After confirming my appointment, the owner asked me twice within a few minutes two days before the appointment, to change the time. Despite the hassle, I agreed to the changes since I do understand things happen.
Only 1.30 hour before the appointment sent me a map link to find the location, but it was completely inaccurate. As someone unfamiliar with the area, I found the maps leading me to different, disorienting places. The instructions from her in the message were also too confusing to be of any real help. I spent 30 frustrating minutes ( I arrived in the area 20 minutes before my appointment -I like to be punctual) wandering around, trying to locate the place. Despite knowing I was on my way, nobody answered the phone when I called the provided numbers for assistance. Nor the owner’s number or the business’s number.
Eventually, a staff member noticed me walking around, clearly distressed, and approached me. By then, I was too upset to go ahead with the service. To make matters worse, the owner later left me a voicemail “to talk this through” and was implying that it was my fault for not finding the location, completely ignoring the fact that I had been trying to reach out for help the entire time or taking any accountability for the fact she didn’t get any precautions for incidents like this happening especially when expecting a new client. She kept saying they are a small business which I totally get but brushed off the fact that since there’s someone allocated to me for the time being I should be able to reach out to them if something happens before the appointment.
The staff that tried to calm me down, I think her name was Emma? She was wonderful! She said she had no idea about the last-minute changes to my appointment or that I had been trying to contact them. The complete lack of communication and responsibility from the owner is staggering.
I strongly recommend avoiding this place. The owner's unprofessionalism, confusing instructions, and lack of accountability made the experience anything but relaxing. Following my assessment and confirmation of what treatment I would need I paid my £300 deposit and a date was arranged for when my treatment would start. I was then told that the person whom was going to do my treatment was not available for the date when my treatment was due to start so they offered me a different person to do my treatment. On the day of my appointment for my first lot of treatment I arrived there only to be told that because I was having my treatment done by a different therapist I would have to first have another full assessment completed before they would do my treatment. Following this second assessment they told me that they would not be able to do the treatment as previously assessed as needing and as given a price for,they then basically told me that the gentleman whom did my first assessment had told me lies in that what I wanted from my treatment,was not at all possible to achieve without a much more expensive form of treatment. Feeling like I had been conned is an understatement. I told them I felt completely let down because as far as I was concerned an assessment had already been done,a plan of treatment put in place and my deposit paid and now their basically telling me that I was told a load of rubbish during my first assessment and that if I still wanted that plan and treatment it would be a lot more expensive. I told them in that case I would prefer to leave it and have a refund of my £300 deposit.The clinic director (Emma) assured me that I would get my deposit refunded strait away. This never happened,I had to make several phone calls to her as she would not return my calls. I then sent her emails requesting my deposit back. She eventually emailed me without any apology stating I would receive it strait away, then when that never happened I emailed her again and she told me it would be in my account on the Tuesday but it was not. After numerous more phone calls and emails I was told by her that It would be in my account on the Thursday, but it was not. !! Again after another 2 phone calls and another two emails she gave me back my deposit on the Friday. Read moreI had purchased a voucher for laser hair removal on a small area through Groupon. Laser is something I have always wanted and thought I could never afford so I was so excited when I saw this offer come up.
I booked my consultation and Emma was wonderful. She assessed my skin and hair and advised that my hair may be too fair for the treatment. So she suggested I come back in a few weeks so she could double check and if I wasn't a suitable candidate I could have a refund.
I thought this was so lovely as she could have just started the treatment regardless if I would have noticed any results.
So far I have had two sessions of laser on my face and I am really happy with the results. I would highly recommend Emma and her team to anyone...
