1 star is a very generous review for this place. Before we ordered any drinks, the bar staff stated they would be with us in a moment as there were only 2 people on tonight and they were very short staffed and stressed. After we had almost finished our drinks we were then accosted by someone, who I can only assume works there, as she didnt introduce herself. She then harassed us and attempted to intimate us as we had asked for a receipt after payment. We were told we had to leave even though we were about to order more drinks. This is a nice place that still has that pub feeling to it. For as long as I remember it has had friendly bar staff and good beer. {I prefer cider but when I was a beer drinker it was a nice clean pint that went down really well. Friendly and welcoming traditional pub with great staff. Lovelt and cosy with a quiet back area with tables and comfortable chairs, in the winter they have an open fire.
