Really disappointing visit.
Our starters came out in good time and tasted delicious which was a great start to the evening, it unfortunately went downhill when our mains arrived.
We ordered 2 dishes, a chicken Jalfrazi (hot) and a Jinga Malabar (prawn based, mild).
When the mains came out we began to eat but noticed the wrong sauce was poured on top of each dish. The Jalfrazi on top of the prawns, the other sauce on the chicken - very obvious to us as one was very hot and the other absolutely mild.
When we tried to explain this to the waiter he couldn't understand what the problem was at first. After explaining, he simply didn't believe me, however assumed my partners dish was too hot for her and changed only her dish. We then requested more drinks as we had finished ours, however they did not arrive, we asked a different waiter and once again, still did not arrive.
The atmosphere is nice and staff seem pleasant, but not believing my complaint and still paying full price (minus eat out to help out scheme) for a meal we didnt enjoy isnt on. We wont...
Read moreOrdered through Just Eat and gave the restaurant a call as the order was over an hour late.... Told me there was nothing they could do and hung up on me.
Still waiting for the food....
(Added after Owner's reply)
No, that is not correct. I had called beforehand and spoke about the issue with a lady and she told me what you have said initially and to speak with Just Eat about the order. I spoke with Just Eat afterwards and they told me to get in contact with you regarding it.... To which I was met with the reponse I initially posted.
Also to add: (I am assuming it was you I spoke to as you seem to have first hand knowledge of my call, apologies if not) I also wanted to talk to you about the possibility of either picking the delivery up or cancelling it altogether but you hung up on me before I got the chance.
No attempt to help remedy the situation and still haven't...
Read moreOrdered a take away a Goan dish it was terrible dyed chicken nothing like a Goan dish at all , no coconut, no tamarind no mango just no depth of flavours it definitely wasn’t medium or mild and no sweetness at all , just a vindaloo strength red mess it kept me awake with a sore stomach and most of it went in the bin (thanks for your reply however after cooking Indian food myself for 30 years and taking trips to restaurants such as the rasoi in London , brick lane , Bradford , Edinburgh and countless trips just to sample Indian quality food , I can categorically state there was no tamarind , coconut , or any resemblance to a goan dish whatsoever, I have no motive to discredit any restaurant but when you pay £40 for 2 dishes you expect more than a base with too much chilli ) reaching out is a bit pointless accept your criticism and do better for others...
