We stayed her for a two night visit late February. We had no idea what to expect beyond the few reviews here. It is tucked in (as an American) is an alleyway. Distinct door but very unassuming entrance. Buidling does have an elevator but it is very small and you do have maneuver 2-3 stairs up, then a landing, then 2-3 more steps ups. The alleyway is cobble stones to rolling your luggage is not ideal.|We stayed n apartment 6 on the 4th level. The unit had a washer/dryer in its own closet at the entrance of the unit, a large bathroom with tub/shower combo. Bathroom had a large ledge to store your toiletries and such. Tub is very narrow but again has a nice cubby to store your shower products (some are provided but I like my own)|Down the hall is a separate room with the kitchen and a sofa and tv. The TV is very small by US standards. Sofa was ok. Kitchen was well equipped.|We had a one bedroom unit that was described as a king bed - it is not a US king. In the UK a king bed is equivalent to our queen. It was a spacious room but a very awkward placement of the wardrobe with little access to hang anything. Our deluxe room had a view of the rooftops across the alley.|They provide one hand towel and one bath towel. No facecloths. |The bed was VERY firm. Could use a topper for comfort. It does not have a top sheet and blanket like an American hotel. It is a quilt with a duvet cover. I loved this as this is how our beds at home are done. But a shock from some.||The location does seem tucked away but we were able to easily walk everywhere - Edinburgh Castle, Royal Mile, loads of restaurants, and shopping. It was a short walk to take the City Sightseeing bus tours as well.||The office is just a short walk down the alley and they are very kind and have facilities to store your luggage if needed.||We did enjoy our stay here and would recommend it - I just wanted to state what I was not aware of to set the expectations.||We did book another one of their properties in Glasgow and...

Read moreOverall the apartment was nice and in a good location but there were a few issues that mean I will not go back. One, the bed was extremely uncomfortable. So uncomfortable that my ribs ached after 2 nights. The mattress was probably the cheapest they could find and it was very old old so I felt every single spring in my ribs and hips and shoulders and it was a nightmare.|Two, the shower head hasn't seen a decent maintenance in years and was spraying literally everywhere. After a single shower there was water on the walls, ceiling and floor inside and outside the actual bathtub.|Three, there was an issue with the heating but since there's no one the premises, you have to email or text them. They respond and ask you to check something but since you're a tourist you're out all day so you only check when you're back in the afternoon or evening. So if what they said did not resolve the problem, the next communication cycle is the next day, since by the time you're back, they're out for the day. So it took 3 days to resolve a simple heating issue that took the maintenance guy probably 5 mins to fix.|Not...
