Grassmarket Market — Local services in City of Edinburgh

Very cute markets, a mixture of good foods as well as crafts - take away home foods such as smoked fish (and smoked butter!), As well as freshly baked loaves of breads, candles, earrings, beautiful Edinburgh prints, all the usual crafty things. Nice to see some vegan options too. Right in front of the grass market food places, great on a sunny day, you can wander and then sit down for a pint, if you didn't want to sample some delicious Ethiopian curries (which I would recommend!!). There are also several stalls that also go to the Stockbridge market on a Sunday as well, as well as at Leith. Can't fault the grassmarket market as the stalls were amazing and very customer friendly and informative the only problem with this market was a weird guy called Giles Contier who was deceptive in his intentions towards me last summer and as a consequence I have had to block him from my phone and stop him giving out my personal details. Great local market. Love the fresh bread and pastries from Au Gourmand Bakery, fresh fruit and veg, smoked fish, hand made Vegan chocolate, Cupcakes and lots of great craft stalls with gorgeous jewellery too. Plenty of choice for lunch with French Connection Creperie, Spanish paella, curry, Japanese noodles to name a few. Regular traders and something different every week.
