I recently ordered from The Stenhouse Takeaway and I have to say it was a really great experience! The menu offers a wide range of delicious options to suit different tastes and preferences, so there is something for everyone.

From the moment the order was placed, the customer service was top notch. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, making the whole process seamless and enjoyable. My order was prepared quickly and accurately and the packaging was carefully designed to keep the food fresh and hot when it arrived.

Food lovely however when ordering online there are so many extra charges such as processing fee of 70p, service charge of 10% as well as your delivery fee of £2.50 (which I am not complaining about the delivery fee at all) then if you are paying by card they have the cheek to ask if you want to leave a tip, which the driver probably won't get. Also they already have the 10% tip box ticked so if you don't know about this and pay by card you are hit with yet another charge. Our total charges for 3 items came to £18.40 but our total bill came to £25.60 meaning charges of £7.20 were added to our bill. I want to add that I am not complaining about the £2.50 delivery charge but all the other charges we are good customers and feel that we are being ripped off, you could at least explain on your website what these charges are for and how you come...

They charge extra for dipping a white pudding in batter. (The only place in Edinburgh that do) They don’t tell you this until you come to pay. Nothing on the board to say. Watched me run to my car and scrabble for the extra money. Ethically incorrect and wrong. The staff had no care in world had poker face. Anyway it’s not about the money it’s the principle. If it was me I would tell the person at point of sale and if I hadn’t I wouldn’t watch them scrabble for the extra. The chips have no flavour to them, so it’s not just the experience that’s bad the food is too. I’m so glad this isn’t my local and feel bad for the people I was taking the food too have dinner with.
