This place used to be a better place than now. I hope they will correct their mistakes and make this a much more better and safe place for everyone like before. The reason why I’m telling this because our today’s experience in here was very poor and unacceptable. Basically my kids were little as they need supervision at least until they get used to some of its activities. I was glad that this is what this play centre expect us to do and I appreciate they have put this in their sign boards. But when we supervise in certain areas they have restrictions to the way we assist our kids. This is happening because they have some damaged settings and I’m sure some of other users also previously complained about this and left some bad reviews for this. Very unfortunate they didn’t even put any signs to follow but you will be told off if in case you are with your kids in this places. It was really embarrassing when they telling me off in front of others as we don’t expect to experience this in this place and we go there with our kids to give our kids a little bit of fun time. I know every kids are different when they grow and since recently my four years old son is a bit scared to do activities in public areas as he has some complications when he is in the middle of a crowd. So we decided to take him out whenever possible to help him get used to lots of people and to help him come out of his fear. This is one of the reasons we have visited this place today to let him experience some fun time with lots people around him. But unfortunately my son scared when this individual from this place was telling me off loudly front of so many. My son then didn’t wanted to play for a little while and I had to convince him and encourage him to come with me to play again. However I decided to approach this staff member in person as his conduct was very inappropriate. I have mentioned that what he did was inappropriate and instead he should have put a sign out to let users to know about any restrictions than telling off front of kids and all. I appreciate that he accepted his mistake at that point and he immediately instructed one of his colleague to put out a sign to give instructions for other users. I appreciate for listening to my concerns and putting out a sign but I hope they will be following other safe and legal guidelines and fix any outstanding hazards in the play area rather than making this place unsafe, uncomfortable for kids and its users. As you all know some of their play settings are supposed to have with balls but balls are not available and they are not in working order too. Now top of this, restriction for usage because it’s unsafe for assisting our kids. Which is very unacceptable. As far as I know they have not reduced the price even though this place is not good as before!
However I’m not saying to anyone that this place is not good for a visit. Because we all do mistakes and as time goes sometimes we don’t understand what improvements we have to make to keep things in good working order. In regarding to this place I think they just need some good feedbacks to help them correct their mistakes.
I hope my feedback will reflect and they will do some improvements in their play area and in their service which will help us all to use this place again with some better experience and of course this is ultimately good for their...
Read moreVisited fun valley with my two kids, sister in law and her daughter. Firstly on arrival the parking was ridiculous! Entered and the place was packed !!! We had no where to sit literally searching around for a table when finally another customer who had reserved two tables for her family offered us to take one of hers. It took one of the staff members 10 mins to come and clear up the mess on the table ( which even after he had wiped it down it didn’t look or feel clean at all )
The prices for food and hot drinks is extortionate. We ordered two hot drinks, chips, jug of juice and a cheesecake everything was £1.50+ nothing less. I remember they used to give hot drinks in glass mugs however this time we were served the hot drinks in small paper cups yet they were charging the same price ! The same for the chips, used to be served in a decent sized glass plate but came in a little paper bowl. I was actually disgusted at the prices for the portion sizes. My sis in law did ask why they weren’t giving the usual mugs anymore to which the (very rude) staff member replied “ because it’s half term, we don’t have time to keep on top of the dishes “ like seriously?
In the under 4s section there were definitely kids over 4. Running and jumping around which quite frankly I found really dangerous for under 4s to be in there. The older children weren’t at all careful around smaller children some of which were toddlers and younger. There was a slush spilt in that play area so I did go and make the staff aware. She looked at my face in a way to say “ so why are You telling me?” But instead replied “right ok thanks” I watched for over 20 minutes still no one had come and cleared it up.
We were there till the closing time as we had arrived quite late on in the afternoon (around 4.30), to show people they were closing they just started clearing tables, stacking chairs and then switched the lights off towards the play areas which personally I think is quite dangerous as there were still quite a few children in there.
Overall I think it’s dirty, over priced, ridiculously staffed and I won’t be rushing back to...
Read moreAMAZING SOFT PLAY, BUT WE HAD A LITTLE INCIDENT TODAY!
Me and my little one went into the football pitch area where one kid came to play, my little one had the ball in his hands and the kid came and snatched it off (his words "I snatch it off") I was thinking perfectly normal, kids are doing this kind of things. This boy tried to pick my boy up and went really close to his face. At this point, I was still thinking everything was ok (again, kids are doing this), but he started to behave a little unusual and intimidating my child. At that point I went and picked him up to leave and let the boy play with the ball, when we tried to leave he said that he's going to take the baby and "put him on the shelf", "baby's are really easy to hurt" grabbed his arm, I tried to move forward and find the exit (to be honest I started to panic) looking for the exit area this boy was keeping really close and following us keep trying to grab his feets and hands, toutch him and make more comments as "baby's are easy to hurt". At one point, I found the exit, and his last words were, "I am going to hurt your baby."
I honestly did not know how to react and what to do, I was genuinely shaking, and my heart was betting fast.
I went to one of the staff members saying what happened, and they said that the child is known as being diagnosed with autistic spectrum. Therefore, I kinda accepted what happened.
Right before the child left, I saw them with their career, but for any reason, I didn't say anything about what happened.
Anyhow, I hope my review will raise a concern, and things like this will not happen to anybody else. It's pretty important to supervise the child while into the playing...
