Tasty Chicken & Pizza — Restaurant in England

This was the worst experience I've ever had as a customer.. anywhere. I don't mind waiting for food.. it's a Saturday night..its expected.. but seeing all the male customer orders being prepped and organised and waiting for 1hr? This needed addressing..I asked him why it was taking so long and why all male customers had been served.. he flipped out and asked if I wanted to cancel the order or leave..that I was not allowed to question him and that I should sit down and shutup! All in Urdu.. because its obviously assumed I should speak his language. I have never been so humiliated and offended. If I had been a man.. there is no way he would have got away with this level of abusive language. I explained that it is not my choice to do the takeaway round but I am widowed and my father has also passed..so no men folk to do the rounds.. but if either of them were alive he would not have got away with how he spoke. He then continued shouting abuse as I left saying in urdu.. I did not kill them..and dont come back to this shop. Wow.. lots more chicken places in Leicester that I'd prefer to spend in.. will never go back. Also having just read the other reviews, I sadly realised that lots of people have found Hassan to be rude..the owner responds with a standard apology but no..Hassan is indispensable. Maybe..Hassan IS...

went and ordered a pizza here on 13th April 2025 at 2pm, took 30minutes to get my pizza and then when i checked it before it i left they gave me a burnt pizza. I went and asked for a refund but the fat pizza maker said its not burnt, if i didn’t want a black pizza i should’ve said so when placing my order so he can give me a raw pizza. He refused to give me back my money after i crumbled the burnt pizza in between my fingers to show it was burnt and then he proceeded to say “go ask anyone if it’s burnt and if they say yes i’ll will give a refund” i asked someone and she nodded yes and he was still reluctant to give me my money back and eventually i got my money back after arguing and he said don’t come back to my shop (i wasn’t planning to, im not a fan of burnt pizzas that don’t look the same as the ones on the pizza menu screen) he was also told to stop shouting by another customer because his loud voice made their little daughter cry because he was acting so scary. 0 customer service skills and the food doesn’t even smell nice in there tbh. would not recommend and the fat pizza maker needs to go learn some manners. If you have an issue with your order you’re going to get the same treatment as they don’t wanna give you...

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst food experiences I’ve had in Leicester. I genuinely didn’t think anything could be worse than Maryland, but this place proved me wrong. The pizza base was essentially just ketchup something I’ve never seen before and it was inedible; we ended up throwing it away.

To make matters worse, I paid for my chicken this wasn’t a free meal and I specifically asked for either thighs or legs. I was told flatly that I couldn’t have them, with no real explanation. I honestly don’t understand the reasoning. If I’m paying for the food, why can’t I have what I specifically asked for?

The chicken we did receive had a hair in it, and when I raised the issue, the staff member casually replied, “It could be my hair or your hair,” which felt incredibly dismissive and unprofessional.

The gentleman serving us (an Indian man, I believe) didn’t come across as rude, but he clearly lacked basic customer service skills there was no effort to resolve the issue or even acknowledge our concerns.

I wouldn’t return here and would strongly advise others to avoid this place unless there are serious improvements made in food hygiene, food quality, and how customers are treated. Very disappointing...
