I came in with 4 friends; one of them didn't like Karak tea, so I wanted to get him something plain. I asked for mint leaves (which they put on Karak chai for free if requested) in plain hot water but the owner (I think he was) refused without any explanation. I thought he didn't understand me at first (because it'd be much easier for him to make and I was going to pay him to full mint chai price) and tried explaining again. He was stubborn and kept saying: "its not in the menu".
He started telling me stuff like "Look. I'm the older one here" which made no sense. Even one of the customers said "why don't you just do it" but he then started taking things personally and wanted to get into a debate with me. I still don't get exactly what went on in his head.
I was going to buy tea and desserts for the rest of us but his terrible attitude left me and my friends with no choice but to leave. To be honest, Bombay Bites opposite them have better Indian tea and (from my experience) are much...
Read moreI recently visited Chaiiwala and had a lovely experience! I tried the English breakfast, and I was pleasantly surprised. The lamb sausages were nice and packed with flavor, offering a delightful spicy kick that added excitement to the meal.
I customized my omelette by adding onions, tomatoes, and green chilies (for an extra cost), and it was definitely worth it! The added ingredients really enhanced the flavor, making the omelette a standout part of the breakfast. The daal was also nice, providing a comforting and hearty element.
The toast was nothing special, but it served its purpose.
Additionally, I had a chance to try the desi breakfast, which included spicy beans that were absolutely delicious! You also get daal and an omelette, making it a fulfilling option.
Overall, I had a great time at Chaiiwala and would definitely go again to explore more of their menu. If you’re looking for a tasty breakfast with a unique twist, this place is...
Read moreI had an incident while with my family here. A man kept approaching us inside the store asking if we had change. I gave what I had and said I had nothing more. He kept asking was getting very pushy and started to make us feel very uncomfortable. It was late at night and us being females I did not want anything to escalate. Luckily the young lady working behind till witnessed this and stepped in. The man started to answer back to her but she remained calm and firm and got him to leave. We told her she was very brave for what she did and asked her if she was the owner of Chaiiwala but she said she was just a normal employee. Had to write this review cuz if it wasn’t for Sophias confidence and professionalism we would have surely left. Despite this we had a nice visit afterwards. Nice seating area and service was fast. Karak chaii is very nice you guys should do bigger...
