Blue Mango Taunton — Local services in Great Britain

This is the best Indian food within at least 30 miles in any direction. I have been to so many different indian restaurants and take aways from Bristol, to Dorchester, to Minehead and everywhere in between and yet Blue Mango are still the best by far. Their food is always sensational in taste, freshest ingredients and meats, never disappoints and always leaves us craving more. Every weekend, our treats are a Blue Mango and although you can no longer eat in the restaurant, the food is still superb and the staff, boss and chef are wonderful and friendly as always. We choose to collect our food as we enjoy speaking to the lovely boss and chef when in and of course Niki in front of house and even the delivery driver who is always a laugh when he's there. Sadly the quality and authenticity of their food has continued to decline - are they under new management? The delivery when ordering take away is also now very poor and always late. I have kept the faith with them for a long time but now give up. Each time I call when the delivery or food is poor to ask what’s going on they are disinterested so they leave me no choice but to vote with my feet and move on. It’s not as if we are blessed with many good restaurants in Taunton and it’s sad they they have declined so badly. I was told by the friendly hotel staff of the nearby Corner House Hotel that the Blue Mango was a popular place and only 200 yards away.

So I walked up the hill on that balmy summer evening to find a building that seemed to have no door. But I figured it was around the corner, and I was ushered into a nice banquette table by the window. I am the bane of South Asian restaurants as I can't stand any chilli at all. But my Prawn Balti did the trick, along with Brinjal Bhaji and plain rice. And of course, I couldn't resist a few pappadums with the trimmings to start.
