We have had the great pleasure of discovering Chillis of Uplands Indian cuisine take away. We have had 3 or 4 delivery meals on different occasions now & each time the cuisine, service & friendliness has been of the finest standard, the best by a country mile. One of these occasions was a family gathering of 5, every one of us loved their food.I can’t stress enough how nice the food is & staff are. Too many take-aways, & restaurants, especially in Mumbles, dole out sub standard food & service because they have more of a monopoly & rely upon a naive tourist clientele to exploit. So as a person who lives here you have to search further a field for edible enjoyable food on a night you don’t fancy cooking for your self. We live in Mumbles & would not recommend any of the take aways in Mumbles having tried them all & been very disappointed over the years-with the exception of Copperfish fish & chip shop on the pier. I implore anyone considering an Indian cuisine take away to give Chillis a try. Once you have experienced what they offer you won’t consider any where else. Simply Fantastic. I hope & pray they don’t drop their standards as many take aways do once they think you’re a regular they become complacent & you can’t be bothered to try else where. From the first order, I could tell they genuinely care about what they’re serving. The food is full of flavour without being heavy you can actually taste the spices rather than just the oil. It’s probably the best quality curry I’ve had in Swansea, and that’s saying something. The fact that it’s not drenched in oil makes it feel that bit healthier, the way a good curry should be.

As a vegetarian, I really appreciate how well they cater for everyone. There’s a proper range of options, not just the basic veggie dish, and the chickpeas as an option are spot on packed with flavour and such a good source of protein. Honestly, they go well in any curry on the menu.

Even beyond the food, the experience stands out. The delivery drivers are always so polite, and the owner and his family actually got in touch personally to thank me for my note I left on the delivery app (so write you some nice messages if your happy). That kind of warmth and appreciation is rare these days I’ve never had a takeaway treat me like that before.

Absolutely fantastic food from Chillies Takeaway, Swansea! Chef Shahin is a true master in the kitchen – every dish is cooked with care and packed with flavour.

We tried the Prawn Puri, Chicken Jalfrezy, and Lamb Curry, and each one was outstanding. The prawn puri was fresh, perfectly spiced, and served on soft, warm bread that soaked up all the delicious sauce. The chicken jalfrezy had the perfect balance of heat and flavour – spicy enough to make your taste buds dance, but still letting the rich, aromatic spices shine through. The lamb curry was tender, slow-cooked perfection, bursting with deep, savoury notes and just the right kick of spice.

If you love your food full of flavour and expertly prepared, Chef Shahin at Chillies is the one to thank. Everything was spicy, fresh, and utterly delicious – a real treat for anyone who appreciates authentic, well-made curries.
