County Walk Shopping Centre — Local services in Great Britain

Not too bad a few good shops there, it's a shame that maplins and the large toy shop closed down as it leaves 2 large gaping empty shops there which doesn't look good and also makes the place look a bit run down, the toy shop was run as a Christmas shop for a few months and was pretty good, it's a shame that the council don't lower the rent and let it out to brighten the place up. On a note the entertainer toy shop that was there has moved to another location in town near to marks and Spencer's, i think they moved because the new shop is a lot bigger than the old one. The rent is probably cheaper as well..... come on Taunton Deane council please don't let the town become a ghost town full of coffee,charity and mobile...

After shopping in the local Sainsbury's I wandered through the County shopping walkway. I glanced in the charity shop and the surfboard shop I saw the savers was busy so decided not to venture in there. The costa coffee shop at the end of the walkway had customers queued outside as it had a one way in one way out system in place. Overall I would say the centre was very clean and usable. Shame that one of the larger shops( a former Christmas tree shop) was empty but I guess that will soon be snapped up...

I do wonder if this place might get slightly overlooked as it's always been pretty quiet when we have been (apart from the Sainsbury's store) but it's clean, it's under cover and there are still some great little shops here. Sadly a number of the units are empty but the ones remaining are worth visiting and you might just grab yourself a bargain. Taylors do some good discounts on branded footwear and have a large selection of reduced price Fly ladies shoes, boots...
