I have shopped in this store for years and today I had the worst experience by a check out assistant. I am going on holiday and I went to the Superdrug Silverburn store to buy items for our holiday. I was informed that I could not purchase a box of paracetamol, Ibuprofen and sinus relief medication as there was also paracetamol contained in sinus medication. I explained that the sinus relief is not for me. I tried to explain that the sinus relief was for my son and the box of paracetamol and ibuprofen were to take on holiday. I was as immediately faced with an abrupt and confrontational check out assistant that was clearly very trigger stacked. I had ask if I could pay as a separate purchase or come back later to buy for my son and I was shut down immediately with the check out assistants confrontational manner. The woman check out assistant continued to say ‘I don’t make the rules, I only work here and no you can’t come back later or pay for medicine separately’. I said ok I’ll take the sinus medicine today with my purchase and I said to the woman checkout that I was not being a problem I am not arguing with you, I wanted to explain how ridiculous this is and to save going to Boots the chemist or to come back another day. I was then faced with further hostility and push back. She stood back and stared at me and spoke to me like I was creating a problem in which I was not, I was only asking a question but that was a problem. So I cancelled my purchase that was over £50 and left the store with nothing. I would not have given this store the sale today due to being served by the most unfriendly check out assistant I have met in years. The Superdrug rules on the sale of Paracetamol is ridiculous, one box can cause paracetamol overdose, don’t need anymore than one box. I studied pharmacology. I have just been to Boots and purchased what I needed. Paracetamol, Ibuprofen for my holiday medicine bag and sinus medicine for my son without any issues. Got an earlobe piercing done today by Alicia at the Beauty Studio. I’ve had my hair cut by Alicia before so this is my second time dealing with her in the studio and she’s always really friendly and helpful.

The piercing is great and was done in minutes, the price is also really good compared to other piercing studios. My sister came with me and got her eyebrows threaded (Didn’t get the name of who done them) but she was very friendly and professional, my sister said it’s the best service she’s had for her eyebrows.

Bad experience. I was with my toddler that was messing around with the products(and I felt horrible for that)and I told my mom to take her away while I would put all the stuff back in their places. A worker came our way checking on us (as u normally would do if you suspect something) and she followed us throughout the shop as we were thieves or something .
