When I give this place a 2 star for review, it is worth hearing out. Firstly I came 3 weeks ago to this place with my friends after suggesting it to them all. After doing so, we bought a variety of starters: chicken pakoras, lamb chops, tikka boti and trialled them all. To say of the least none of them were brilliant all satisfactory. Bare in mind there were 4 of us and I asked all of my friends and they said it was nothing great. I recommended this place after trying their aloo paratha a year ago which was amazing. Never the less, I decided to give it another chance and come today, on my visit I ordered a coke, a chicken tikka burger 1/4 meal and a aloo paratha. When i tell you that the paratha was just a naan with a shred of potato, I was not kidding. The paratha was a roti with a minute amount of potato possibly unseeable. I then went to my friend and he said these words: "Is there any potato in it for starters". So i thought okay fair enough, I called the waiter to complain and ask him to either add more potato to this or give some on the side, as I didn't want a new one as this would have gone to waste. He spoke to the chef and they said they cant do anything. Utterly appauled I thought okay! The burger that I had on the other hand was utterly amazing! it was that good that I decided to get another one at the end, as it was being shared by me and my friend. On ordering a second one, it took triple the time to make in which we waited. And if i were to rate the first burger in comparison to the second it was awful. The first burger was a solid 9/10 and the second burger was 0/10. It was that bad, it had no flavor, obviously rushed as it was half cooked, and when I say I fed it to my cat as it was inedible I mean it. bare in mind I ordered the same burger twice. But the standard dropped. When you go to any restaurant, you expect hospitality at the least to be catered for and that your needs as a customer are granted to the best, however mine were shunned down and when I asked for the grilled burger to be plain the second time it had salad on it and wasn't. I didn't want the burger realistically, just the chicken inside to finish the paratha with as it was that plain. However they complained saying we cant do that and its the same as ordering a chicken tikka boti, so order that. Although this is not true as the chicken tikka boti are cut up and taste nothing like the burger as I have had both. Instead they would not even hand me a single burger without chips and said it comes with the meal and cant be ordered on its own. 100% FAILURE IN STAFF, IN CHEF AND IN OVERALL CUSTOMERS SATISCFACTION!!!
Should have gone to another place, but didn't want to base this review off a one time experience so this was my experience. Wont...

The Kebabish Original Restaurant Chain was founded in 1986 to create their own niche for healthy, flavoursome grilled food called the ‘Thrill of the Grill’, a food type enjoyed by all. They aim to serve some of the best Indian and Pakistani cuisines as well as mouth watering starters and grill food.
Their grill dishes have been inspired by the use of charcoal for cooking. The spices are sourced from all four corners of the world to give their food a truly unique and ‘moorish’ flavour.
We visited the branch in Huddersfield. The restaurant is located in the Town Centre, therefore all parking is Pay & Display.
The restaurant deco is a bit dated and old which could do with a upgrade. There is a good amount of seating available.
The menu is a large laminated sheet, with plenty of options for all including many vegetarian items.
For starters, we ordered the Chicken Pakoras which are succulent chicken pieces dipped in flavoured batter & deep fried. You can also add a portion of chips on the side. The pakoras tasted amazing.
For the mains, we chose the Shahi Naan Kebab. This comes with Chicken Tikka, Donner meat and Seekh Kebab. This was a great choice as we could try a bit of everything. It was all freshly cooked and tasted delicious.
We also got just the Lamb Donner kebab, this was just lamb donner but was a bit too much for our liking.
The Nan Kebabs came with a generous amount of salad and a fresh hot naan. At the table there are sauces to add to your naan kebabs such as yoghurt chutney, chilli sauce and ketchup. The portions are very generous and fulfilling!
All the food here is very reasonably priced and good value for money.
Kebabish Original Huddersfield is HMC certified.

Read moreMe and my friend went in yesterday 20.11.2023.. the two female waitresse's did not have a clue what they was doing, take in mind this is a place we usually enjoy going to, usually there is Male servers who are very polite. We sat down, then got told if we could move to another table.. which we did, the girl then came over and said we couldn't sit there as it was reserved for 6 people, we again moved the first girl said the table was not reserved.??? So yet again we sat down. Then the other waitress noticed we had sat back down, when we explained the situation she simple said " she doesn't know what she's saying she new". We yet again moved to another table. ( 4 times). We sat there for about 10mins waiting to get served. A man, woman and young child came in and got ushered to the table .. the one we got told was reserved for 6 people, she promptly took their order, take in mind me and my friend had been sat down waiting to be served for 10mins, Enough was enough so got up to go, the " new" waitress glanced over, looking embarrassed, the cooks said " bye". They didn't know what happened or the rude behavior from the two servers towards us. Sorry to say I will not be going in there again.. which is a shame as like I said I usually enjoy the food, atmosphere and the polite chefs and male waiters. But these two young girls had no manners one being clearly rude towards us, and also belittling the " new" waitress. They need to retrain and also in the process stop being rude to paying...
