It’s my first time at this cafe and chef recommended number 38 which is the Pad Gaprao The cafe is located on the first floor of the Packhorse Centre in Huddersfield. They have a halal chicken certification which is good to know. The chicken Pad Gaprao that I ordered came very quickly and was nice and hot. The meal portion was nice and decent amount. Price for the Pad Gaprao was £8. Very pleased that there’s proper metal cutlery and table service. Friendly staff. Improvement: get halal certified beef and stop selling pork and then I’ll come here everyday!

Original post :Always wanted to try this place. Great reviews and the food always looks good. Unfortunately, didn’t manage to try any. Google map and their Facebook states opening time is at 10am; turned up at 10:20am ( with two other customers) and was asked to come back at 11 as nothing in the kitchen is prepared and ready. Would have stayed if we were not on a schedule. Will attempt again. Update: Managed to visit again. Quick speedy tasty food. I would go out of my way to have it if I’m already in town and craving Thai food.

This is some of the best thai food I have had outside of thailand. The service is quick and the food is great. The noodle soup has proper fried garlic and the broth is really flavorful. The pad thai is also really good and there are plenty of condiments (chili flakes, fish sauce, soy sauce, peanuts, lime, vinegar, and sugar). 7 (or so) pound lunch menu makes this place a steal as well. I know where I will be getting my lunch from now on.

2025 update now in the Packhorse just as good as ever no where better to eat in town.

Love this place have been going for years absolute hidden gem.

So happy to see they have extended into next doors space also as only negative used to be lack of space but now resolved.

Tried majority of menu not a bad thing yet.

Favourites have to be satay skewers, Tom yum soup for starter and either Thai basil belly pork with rice and egg or any of the curries.

Less than £10 for starter, main and drink with speedy service, you can’t ask for more.

If only you was open on an evening I know so many people who would love to go after 5pm but...
