The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, but what truly set the experience apart was the incredible hospitality. The owner, Jaimin, greeted us with a genuine warmth that made us feel like honored guests rather than just customers.
The service was impeccable throughout the evening. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly, offering excellent recommendations and checking in at just the right moments. It's rare to find such a high level of service, and it truly elevated our meal.
The food – it was nothing short of spectacular. We've tried numerous Indo-Chinese restaurants in London, and Crown and Pepper stands head and shoulders above the rest. The flavors were authentic, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. The Chili Paneer was a delightful explosion of spicy, tangy goodness, and the Hakka Noodles were a masterclass in texture and taste. Each dish was clearly prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients and an expert touch. Highly recommend for vegetarians!
I cannot recommend Crown and Pepper highly enough – it's an experience that will have you coming...
Read moreI really wanted to love this restaurant based on the reviews but the best I can say was that it’s ok.
The waiter who took our order was very helpful and made plenty of food suggestions. The food came so fast. I’ve never been to a restaurant that was able to produce food so quickly. Sadly the flavours were just ok. The salt and pepper tofu was made with silken tofu which gave a creamy finish that personally was not to my liking. The pani puri were fine. Didn’t love the crispy Bhatia. Felt re-fried rather than freshly prepared. It’s not bad. It’s just not a great as the reviews suggest.
The restaurant has an open kitchen so the smoke has a slightly choking effect - even though we sat quite far from the kitchen.
We ordered 2 glasses of wine expecting 2 regular glasses but they turned up large. When we queried this we were told all their glasses are large unless other specified!
Reasonable price. It’s something different in the area...
Read moreBrilliant new place in town. Came here with my family during their first week of opening and had a lovely time. Great ambience and decor. The staff were very friendly and extremely attentive to us.
The food was exceptional with a great variety of things on the menu. You could see it being prepared freshly in the kitchen which is always a bonus. They were extremely accomodating to some of our dietary requirements and even more accomodating to my toddler.
The area was clean and family friendly, especially the changing area and high chairs which can be a let down in many places. The vibe and ambience was lovely and would recommend it for many things. It would be a great place for social drinks, private hire and a lovely meal. Would highly recommend trying it out. We will be back again...
