Amazing holiday with Beautiful PEOPLE and an unforgettable experience!!!
I had the most exciting time of my life on the recent “Highlights of Spain & Portugal - 9 Days tour” . I have been traveling since the age of eighteen but mostly with my family and friends and this was my first solo trip on a coach, so was not sure what to expect and wow Expat Explore did not disappoint me at all. Saw some amazing places and we had a great mix of fellow travelers from different age groups from all around the world, which made the journey even more interesting!!! We were a fabulous diversity of the most-friendly people, and the enthusiasm was amazing with positive, upbeat vibes shared during the entire trip.
I made so many NEW FRIENDS who are now my FRIENDS FOR LIFE and I thoroughly enjoyed an amazing new experience with cherished memories.
Our Tour Leader DIARMAID Kiernan (DD in short) and SANTANA our Portuguese coach driver were top-notch and made this tour so much fun and enjoyable.
I honestly prayed that we would get a good Tour Leader, as we all know they can really make or break the tour and wow GOD heard my prayers in DD as he was EXPECTIONAL. He was a FANTASTIC TOUR LEADER and part of our fabulous experience. DD was BRIGHT and CHEERFUL from beginning to end, extremely INFORMATIVE, FUNNY, POWERFUL COMMUNICATOR, CONFIDENT, KIND, very FRIENDLY, GREAT LISTENER and from the start to the end he never disappointed us. An unbelievably knowledgeable and passionate person who LOVES his job to the core. The info he gave us before every new stop was extensive and informative. DD sense of humor and wit was a plus point and his passion for travel made the journey interesting, even to our daily morning song, that still brings back memories when I hear it!
I would love to take another tour with DD anytime soon and was hoping to join him for the upcoming Irish tour in mid-July 2023 but unfortunately there were no free slots available.
DD always went the EXTRA MILE for our group and ensured that everyone was always safe, was excellent in his commentary of the events and places and made each one of us feel welcomed throughout the tour. He made the additional effort to get to know each member personally on the tour and walked down to each of our seats daily, every morning in the bus, to see whether we had any concerns or needed help. He is OUTSTANDING, the reason this tour was a TOTAL SUCCESS, and I am BLESSED to have found a LIFELONG FRIEND in DD!
Santana our coach driver was excellent and skillful. He was able to get us through tight spots and navigate smoothly through the European narrow roads. He does an amazing job and is a total GENTLEMEN who was so helpful getting us safe and secure. He gave his best from loading bags and suitcases on and off the coach, always kept the bus clean and tidy, windows always clear for photo taking and getting us as close to our explorations spot as possible, all the trivial things that go unnoticed.
Both Diarmaid and Santana are a GREAT ASSET to Expat Explore and I would definitely look to book with Expat Explore again. THANK YOU Diarmaid Kiernan and Santana for making our tour an UNBELIEVABLE AMAZING EXPERIENCE and Beyond our Expectations!!!
Once I return to the Middle East, I cannot wait to share my experiences with all my friends and family and encourage them to book with Expat Explore. So Expat Explore watch out for new and more promising business from Middle East travelers 😉.
To the whole team at Expat Explore, thank you for the BEST MEMORIES ever and most of all the NEW FRIENDSHIP this group formed like no other. Three cheers to you all for doing an AMAZING job and 5 STARS to DIARMAID KIERNAN, as he does not simply “know everything” but instead, he is WARM, ENGAGING and an EFFECTIVE STORYTELLER that knows how to CONNECT, BUILD RELATIONSHIPS, and engage with the group. He treated us like FAMILY; he went over and beyond to accommodate everyone. Request for DIARMAID KIERNAN on all your Expat Explore tours and you will NEVER be disappointed as he is an AMAZING PERSON with...
Read moreReally urge customers to review the below feedback. People work hard for there money, and put the trust into tour companies to provide what they pay for.
We paid thousands of money of this tour to find no plan according to literancy, hotels kept changing, we had to pay our own tour guide for guided tours and food.
It is unfair to take advantage of vulnerable customers.
It seems Expat strategy is now now to fake advertising to draw in customers, resulting in money, resulting in no refundable policy, change what customer paid anytime. Despite company error, customers has to pay the consequences.
We recently done the USA and Canada tour. Was not happy to find that the tour was not managed by Expat.
They had the whole tour over to 3rd party independent tour guide (Larry). They skipped a lot of the tour itinerary, and changed the tour based on there needs.
Most of our sight seeing was spent at service stations to tick the destination of the list. All the hotels were fair, a good opportunity for Expat to make extra money by offering there own guided tour and food without considering any quality.
Expat completely changed the itinerary without information customers to save costs for themselves and make a profit. But clearly charged customers full price, and did not consider their needs.
Last five days the tour guide just could not be bothered to show as much. Despite have to paying our own tour guide $40 for each destination.
Some of the excursions paid were overly priced and food again customers paid for was just overly priced and awful.
We experience some shocking unfairness with regards to dietary requirements which is just unforgivable and cruel.
Expat has the tendency to over advertise tours even though they are cancelled. A selling technique to get the money upfront.
Sorry to break the news, majority insurance companies do not cover flight costs if a guided tour is cancelled.
Expat tours are not covered under fully comprehensive insurance. If you book with Expat you may find you will have to pay for additional flights out of pocket if any changes happen.
Expat is not ATOL protected, and they can get away with a lot of unfear ways of trading. I urge people to be mindful of reviewing the pros and cons before booking and taking this gamble.
Find any money paid to Expat you will never see back in your pocket even if they make an error they will turn their back.
I urge people do your research regarding the excursions you will again find tour guides oversell to gain benefit for themselves. E.g they will ask you to pay £40 for a really mind blowing fairwell dinner not even worth £5.
Prior to this experience, we use to tell everyone about this company and affordable cost for using them. Now I do not recommend them the slightest.
If you decide to use their services, do at your own risk and don't expect help in difficult situations or if your tour changes
Even though feedback was provided directly to Expat. They have not even had the...
Read moreI am writing to you regarding an extremely unsatisfactory experience my parents had as members of your Best of Eastern Europe - 11 Days tour from 27 July to 6 August 2023.
Tour Guide EMA. She was unfriendly and biased, to say the least. Was not helpful to my parents and in our previous experience with Expat Explorer, we had a male guide named Jordan and he was a complete opposite. The vibes were not there and she made the tour very awful for my parents. I expected the guide to take care of my parents but nothing of such sort happened. She concentrated more on the Australians on the tour bus so if she was not able to diversify her attention to the rest of the tour group, then this tour specifically led by her should not have been open to other countries.
Tour Members 95% of the tour members are from Australia or New Zealand. With that, they formed their own alliances and left my parents to be by themselves for 11 days! If there is no diversity in your tour, you would have stated that the tour is only open to those nationalities so that we could select another travel operator who is more well-suited to us, who flew 13 hours from Singapore for this tour. Unnecessary remarks were passed and the tour guide only focused on the rest of the tour members, except my parents. This is complete racism and I have no qualms about raising this up to your management for more scrutiny. No friendships were forged sadly because it felt like it was a one-sided kind of tour group.
Food Request When filling up the requested information before travel, we did state that we requested for halal/vegetarian options. As much as we understand that it might be challenging to abide by the request, I understand from my parents that they were being outcast specifically by the tour guide when they asked for their requested food option. This is completely unacceptable considering my parents are in their 50 - 60s and food is extremely crucial for their tour. They have to succumb to purchasing their own food when they paid the same prices as the rest of the tour members. There is also an instance that they asked their tour guide EMA for their food and was being cast aside, with her sounding frustrated.
Accident Occurred On the way to Amsterdam, the bus jammed the brake. Both my mother's knees hit the back seat and her ligament is swollen. It left her limping and what a disappointment - No apology was given by the driver or the tour guide. Because she was not familiar with the place and/or clinics there, she had to limp her way through until we reached Singapore to head to the clinic. How can you compensate for this unfortunate...
