Sultan Sofrası Greenwich — Restaurant in London

What a terrible experience at this restaurant. Should have gone elsewhere. First of all ordered a drink and asked for mojito but then changed my mind to a non alcohol pina colada. I was served with a alcoholic pina colada. The waitress then rudely said to me that you should have said “virgin pina colada” and said I will still charge you for this . When it was her mistake?!?…. Food was good. Another waitress then asked a person from our group if he can pass his plate (when he was still eating) how rude. We told her he is still eating ? She then gave us a dirt look and walked away.

At the end when we went to pay, I was told by this specific waitress who gave me the wrong drink in the first place that she will be charging me for the alcoholic drink because they used alcohol initially. Excuse me? That’s not what I wanted or ordered though.

Another lady then came and told her she was in the wrong and adjusted the bill for us. So thank you for that. While the rest of the group was paying for their meals , some of us were laughing at jokes one friend was cracking and that same rude waitress told has to be quiet and stop laughing.

These were her exact words “can you stop laughing, you are in a restaurant” … the restaurant was empty. Who are we disturbing ? And you want us to cry instead? Definitely will never be returning and the employees behind the bar need training on how to treat their customers correctly. She had to be corrected on many occasions from another waitress who worked there and agreed she was being unprofessional. What a waste of time and thank you for ruining our evening. Unprofessional and rude.

Why was I even charged a service fee for exceptionally unprofessional and rude customer service.

First of all if possible I would give zero stars. This restaurant was absolutely terrible. The food out of 10 I would rate 5/10, but the service -30. Wow 😮

They were incredibly rude, from when we arrived and sat down the waitress serving us was sooo frosty 🥶. I understand sometimes we have off days, but seriously, mean mugging is just unacceptable! And her tone was really bad. At first we thought okay, she just had a bad day, but then when asked simple questions every response was received with a side eye, and harsh toned response. But worst was when it came time to pay. Part of my order in particular (as we were a group of 9), was apparently apart if the kids menu, even though when I ordered I quired the included parts but I was not informed at this point it was a kids option. She proceeded to tell me at that "you know it's part of the kids menu", "I shouldn't really have let you have it". My husband thought okay, I'll tell a joke to lighten the mood. "She's actually under 12 you know" with a smile. Which she responded with cutting her eyes 👀, staring and continued to "tell us off". I'm just shoked. There is a lot more that happened but I wouldn't have the space to write it all. What I would say is, I would never go back, nore would I advise others to. The restaurant was kind of empty when we went, and I wouldn't be surprised this was the reason why.

But the killer is that they added a non-optional 12.5% service charge fee for terrible, rude, and unprofessional service from not just the waitress but the manager that we received. 😮

We even totaled our food costs and added in the service charges and then when we went to pay it came up to £3-4 more per couple. Something ain't adding up. Just...

I’ve had the pleasure of dining at Sultan Sofrası on numerous occasions, and each visit has been nothing short of outstanding.
