We are theatre goers but this a first visit here to the Greenwich Thestre, to see the play “Frozen” by Bryony Lavery, at yesterday’s matinee, with really electric, stunning performances from the three fantastic cast members, actors James Bradshaw, Indra Ove, Kerrie Taylor. The play was four times TONY award nominated when it played on Broadway in 2004 and has now transferred here from West End success.

The play is gritty and deals with very tough themes with memorable, mesmerising performances.

Greenwich Theatre is a great local theatre with a proud history and heritage of staging excellent productions.

The theatre was not full which was a pity as the performing artists on stage were outstanding.

The superb rotating stage, set design and effects were excellent, you feel really part of what is going on, and absolutely made this production stand out from the also very excellent West End production a while back.

The bar area was quiet as the theatre was not full, but they offer a great selection of drinks, at very reasonable prices, we had a Greenwich Gin and tonic and Chenin Blanc white wine and both drinks were really great quality.

An important heads up, though, quite a lot of stairs up to the performance area, and not certain if there is any disabled access to the auditorium. I took my time but made it up fine.

Enjoyed the production more here than when we saw it in the West End, to be honest, looked at upcoming production flyers and noticed a play by the great Jez Butterworth is due to be playing here in October, and we have booked to return to see it.

Despite certain areas of the theatre needing some tlc, we have no hesitation in giving the theatre five stars, as the staff were super lovely and enthusiastic. We’d say please do come here if you can, and support the theatre, because the super staff and quality of production will absolutely justify your visit.

We are really Looking forward to returning in October.

Our thanks to all staff, cast and crew for all your hard work and making this...

A magical moment at the theater I’ll never forget – Tooob

Today I had the joy of taking my daughter to the theater to see Tooob — and what a wonderful, unforgettable experience it was for both of us! The performance was absolutely beautiful, full of tenderness and imagination. The lead actress was simply incredible — so talented, graceful, and captivating. She brought the stage to life in such a magical and touching way.

My daughter had so much fun! Watching her smile, laugh, and be completely engaged was incredibly emotional for me as a mother. It’s rare to find a show so carefully crafted, so full of soul, and so genuinely moving. I honestly can’t remember the last time a performance stirred me like this.

I want to send my heartfelt congratulations to everyone involved in Tooob, and especially to the amazing actress who gave us this gift of a performance. Her presence was mesmerizing — a true artist who created a beautiful connection with the audience, and especially with the little ones.

I truly recommend Tooob to every family. It’s more than a show — it’s a poetic, magical experience that brings parents and children together in wonder. Thank you for such a touching and unforgettable day. You should all...

Dissable wc was very dirty so I reported it @ reception but it didn't seem like they didn't care as guy just told me "we need 2leave it open as there's baby chang. Table" ?!... I was just giving him heads up as there was performance starting soon & it's should be clean... Older Gentleman checking tix didn't pay any attention 2 youngsters @ row behind us constantly talking & making noise with packet crisps. It was super annoying & staff shall be there 2help out, instead he was coming in & out the auditorium 4x times during performance & when he finally sit down his seat made really squeeky noise 🙄. Also asking customers @ interval about written feedback we found really unprofessional Whej we have another half 2go thru. Performance Unkniws Reals absolutely Brill but its was very loud, at 1point we had 2 cover our ears that's how strong it was... Absolutely no need 4 this. It was our 1st visit @ this theatre & it's 50% or less that we will come bck aft this strange experience...

Had THE BEST experience going to see Beauty and The Beast today! Arrived early for the mask building exercise with the kids which linked beautifully into the story so we felt very much a part of the performance. I came with my friend who is wheelchair bound and had amazing seats where we could see the entire stage, hear all the acoustics and had no visual interruptions!! A handy lift located near our seats meant it was incredibly easy to get to where we needed to be. Very helpful and welcoming staff made the experience all the better as my youngest does have a tendency to run off, but felt very safe in this environment. Incredibly well written performance of a classic age old fairy tale with fun new twists which are not only hilarious but refreshing! Cannot wait to see what the writers have to offer us again. Well worth a visit!

Really cute small theatre. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very easy to locate and get to, tucked besides Greenwich park . Took my 4 year old niece to watch the Singing Mermaid theatre show. Seats were easy to get to and view from our seat of the stage was great. Great production and venue. Would recommend and go back for future shows.
